You literally beat me by a minute. I know this probably was the one Crescent Moon game that got the most mixed reaction. But I've been wanting to give it a try. (And I've spent plenty on their other games so....I'll take a bite on the freebie!). TomekSzymek Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2011 457 0 0 #3 TomekSzymek, Mar 20, 2012 It is really good game. I got it about a month ago and I spent a lot of time playing it. And now it's free Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #4 Exact-Psience, Mar 20, 2012 This is one game i think i bought day one. It was ok to some extent, but somehow i never got back to it, nor did i reinstall it after i deleted it. It was a decent game, but it just didnt have what it takes to pull me into playing it some more. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #5 syntheticvoid, Mar 20, 2012 I also bought this one the day it was released... didn't really hold my attention. I deleted it before I beat it, and haven't reinstalled it since. =o/ But for free... it's definitely worth checking out, at least to see if it's something you'd enjoy. It's not necessarily a bad game... but I was just hoping for a whole lot more coming from CM, and it seemed a bit too easy if I'm remembering correctly. I guess people that beat it beat it within about an hour or less as well... so it's also short. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #6 awp69, Mar 20, 2012 Yes, I remember comments like this so it's why it wasn't high on my wish list when I upgraded. But for free, I'll check it out. Played the first chapter. Not bad, but, yes, I guess CM has a higher caliber of games we expect from them. Even though I don't think they developed this but just published it, it still has their name attached to it so exectations are raised! It looked to me like some of it was unlocking other characters that aren't needed to play the game. EDIT: Just took another look. It's for coins, but the game seems rather easy so I still don't think they're necessary. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #9 syntheticvoid, Mar 20, 2012 Yeah... it was by Thunder Game Works and CMG - but I'm not too sure who did what with it. It might have been all done by TGW, with a graphical re-skin by CM or something... I dunno... syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #10 syntheticvoid, Mar 20, 2012 And I just reinstalled it on my iPad, and saw ads for Nuts!... Nice... Ads were not there before... Soooo... Redelete. =o/ Can't believe they've been charging $3 for it, and it has ads on the main menu and level select screens... Upsetting. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #11 awp69, Mar 20, 2012 Yeah, I saw the ads too. Of course, I didn't pay for it so I didn't mind as much. But for those that did pay for it, I'd be pretty upset too. CM has made a few questionable decisions lately, but I won't write them off just yet. jeffyg3 Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 1,251 0 36 #12 jeffyg3, Mar 20, 2012 Can't believe I paid for this app when it came out. The gameplay is dull and it's over before you know it. Definitely not what I would consider a good game at all. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #13 awp69, Mar 20, 2012 Gotta admit, it's one of those games that looked good. But didn't turn as well as hoped. Glad I waited and didn't pay for it. It's not by any means the worse game on the AppStore. Just not what you'd expect from a well-respected developer/publisher like Crescent Moon. I bought it when it launched (and got bored with it immediately--natch). Mostly on the reputation from Aralon (another one I bought way back). Between this and PocketRPG, I'm done buying their games. The controls and what not were great but the game concept was terrible. I want to keep my levels..
