This seems pretty neat I gotta admit, I'm glad it's not just an exact reskin like Death Star was

Woohoo new nimblebit tiny tower game with actual gameplay!

This looks to be right up my alley. When will the beta be?

Never been interested in gambling but I do like Tiny Tower like games so I'll always want to give it a shot at least.

I'm hoping there is roulette, but with the portrait mode that might not work haha

Hope there's more mini games then just mediocre table games and slots! I've never found tiny Tower appealing since it never really felt like a real video game!

There's a few interesting things in those screenshots, such as the fact that there are 4 people in the Bubblesoak suite but next to the name there are only 3 figures, and there's a 3M in the corner. Sounds like a rock star is giving a concert for a limited period of time? Sounds a lot like Disco Zoo's disco party stuff :). That might be what the red chips are used for.

Also curious to find out what the blue box with BB on it is for, in one of the corners of a screenshot.

The screenshots look pretty polished already, but according to Ian beta's still to come.

I have a soft spot for all things NimbleBit. Very much looking forward to this! If any of the guys see this thread, I'd be more than happy to test on an iPad Air and/or 4th gen iPod Touch. :D

I liked Disco Zoo but for me it was less addictive than the other similar type games I have played. So I'm hoping this becomes addicting for me.

I wonder if they'll be using any of the tweaks of tiny Death Star, like delivering to floors takes off a minute, pressing elevator automatically selects to move the person, stuff like that

It looks like they are running out of ideas.

    What's next ? Disco Zoo Vegas ? Pocket Trains 2 ?

Do you prefer more Flappy Bird and Threes clones?
Tiny Tower was launched three years ago and don't have any sequel.

I have wanted a sequel for this but I'd of preferred tiny tower 2 instead of a gambling based one. The theme puts me off but I'd give it a go

I think the theme will be very interesting, with the casino games using coins. You could do really well and get a few floors ahead or lose it all! Sounds really intense! Very intense if you can gamble with bux too! I agree with galderz too I think the chip currencies are going to be used for some kind of bonus that lasts a certain time, I am so pumped for this game. Gonna restart my tiny tower in anticipation!!

    Somewhere else
TT was a superb game, in retrospect much better than Star Wars Tiny Death Star which took many good aspects of TT & eliminated them or twisted them beyond recognition to turn the game into a money-making machine. I won't even go into the fact that it crashed for many players over a month ago & no fix or support in sight. If TDS had any value, it was in showing other devs how to turn "freemium" into an real "f" word.

Like you, the theme of "gambling" is slightly off-putting. Not a game I'd give a kid, unlike previous NB games. I'm no gambler & just want a game that's well-written, fun to play, creative & doesn't require my constant attention and/or monetary "contributions."

Hoping that NB will learn from Disney's perversion of the freemium concept so well-executed in TT, & make spending real money an option rather than an absolute necessity. I'd rather pay up front for a game than be nickled & dimed to death. If a game is good, holds my attention, & provides timely support, I'll contribute to the devs even if it's free.

Tiny Death Star was developed and is supported by Disney Games Support. IMO, I think it was Disney's decision to make it so money driven. Pocket Trains was released shortly before TDS and it had none of the traits present in TDS. So, if I were you, I've give Nimblebit a chance with their Vegas effort.

Finally, all this talk about gambling being "off-putting" is a bit ridiculous IMO. It's just a game FFS. I agree it might not be suited for toddlers/kids though, but any adult should be able to see beyond the casino stuff and just play it for fun :).

    My 0.0000001 bit coins :)
