I usually avoid CoC-type games only because they are all about attacking other players to steal their stuff which doesn't particularly appeal to me, however the following two comments do intrigue me about this one: "All buildings and upgrades are completed instantly -- never wait for a build timer!" "Never lose your hard-earned wealth! The gods reward both skillful attacks as well as clever, effective defenses." No-timers and not losing wealth, and being rewarded for defense - I like the sound of it, might have to try and test it out and see if it's really different from so many others like it. You never lose your wealth, instead you always continue making forward progress. We wanted the pull of the game to be about getting bigger and stronger and not about the fear of losing what you have build. I expect that there will be a lot of knee jerk reactions to assume this is a clone because unfortunately there have been so many. But if you play this even for a brief period, you will find that there are more differences than any similarities to other build and battle games. This is NOT a clone of anything and I can confidently say you haven't played anything like this on mobile. I hope you can come back and help spread the word so its not just me ranting and raving like a lunatic. Wrath Well-Known Member May 26, 2011 480 9 18 Seattle #11 Wrath, Jan 8, 2016 Game is still quite buggy - I keep having city buildings disappear and reappear later; some upgrades go away, etc. I also get that "battle no longer available" message, but now I'm just stuck on one of the story chapter battles without being able to figure out how to advance which is frustrating since repeating early chapters will not get you gold or stone to allow you to upgrade.... We had some problem with the matchmaking, there was just so many battle happening at once. But all seems to be sorted out. Please give it a try again. New England Gamer, yes there is a Campaign so even when you are waiting for your nectar to fill up, you still have something to do. Expect more campaigns coming in the future. UnhappyUnlucky, the single player requires internet connection because the Zues that you play as is the same one you progress in your home city, so we need to net verify that information and we need to keep track of your progress so if you use gamecenter you can go to another device and continue where you left off. We also need to keep track of the resources you accumulate as those affect your homecity. I hope that helps. However, if you have your game in airplane mode, you can still play the campaign, but I beleive you will lose your progress. Owly Active Member Sep 22, 2015 40 0 0 Co-founder of Orb Interactive LLC Houston https://www.facebook.com/godsofolympusgame #13 Owly, Jan 8, 2016 Wrath, there shouldn't be anymore network issues so you should be able to play multiplayer again to gain more resources to level up your gods. That should make it easier for you to progress in the campaign since that Zues is tied to your homecity. I believe the network issues should resolve your city issues, but if not, please go to the help screen on the left hand panel, go to the bottom and email support. I assure you we are actively on top of those email and we can better look at your specific problem. Thanks for hanging in there. fabianb Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2014 1,009 0 36 #14 fabianb, Jan 8, 2016 It's working! I love this game! Maby I will even switch from CoC to this one . Noomen Well-Known Member Sep 14, 2014 68 0 6 #15 Noomen, Jan 8, 2016 A non CoC clone! where you are not bullied by other players?! Hell yeah I'm downloading this NOW. Hint** don't underestimate houses. they make a huge difference. And the first level of building upgrades are cheap and provide a good boost for early levels so take advantage of them. Noomen, please come back once you play. I would love to hear if we lived up to your expectations. RyanSkotw Well-Known Member May 15, 2015 70 0 0 #17 RyanSkotw, Jan 9, 2016 What do I gain when joining my ally's battle? The game seems fun but I dont like the basic grass field. They look like plastic toy to me. You guys should add more details for the terrain so the game could look more appealing. fabianb Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2014 1,009 0 36 #18 fabianb, Jan 9, 2016 Last edited: Jan 9, 2016 I agree on both points. Especially, what do I gain for benefit if I help an ally? It's fun, that's for sure, but why would people keep helping each other on the long term? If it has no benefit for the helping player, some people don't even bother helping anymore. So a little amount of gold/stone/nexar would be really welcome dev. I hope you add this before this feature isn't used anymore because players just see no benefit. But the rest of the game is absolutely great. Never seen a game which is actually better, more fun and way more feature rich than Clash of Clans. No build timers (wow) and helping allies in real time(!!) in both defense and attack is absolutely a dream come true in this genre. And it works like a charm! You can only attack for a limited amount of attacks before your nexar runs out, which is needed for attacks. But you can always help allies in your alliance, endless. So there are always battles you can participate in (if you are in a big alliance, just join a big alliance in the rankings page). So this is an absolutely recommendation! This is by far the best strategic building game and the fun level is really high. Its a scratch my back and I'll scratch yours scenario. Of course, we have never been able to test this feature in such a large scale so its exciting to see how people interact with on another.
