    Hey folks..

How do you find out how your competitor's app is getting reviews/downloads, etc?

There are so many tools for website - like alexa, quantcast, spyfu, keywordspy, etc.

But what about apps? I mean I can search the app name and see which sites reviewed them. But there's got to be a better way to do competitive research for apps

    Any ideas?

    Yeah, agreed.

If I have any competitors, I certainly don't know who they are.

I'd much rather not worry about that stuff and instead focus on making great games.

Agreed. Focus on making your own stuff great and don't worry about others.

    Muahahahaha

On a more serious note, I don't really know how you "spy" but if you want to track their performance app annie is a good bet.

In Distimo you can set up to 5 competitors for direct comparing in ranking.
It is not much of a spying, but a nice thing anyway.

Distimo is great for tracking your own items and staying aware of those around you.

Yeah, def a great tool for every developer with at least 1 app published. We've got several apps in multiple stores (Apple, BlackBerry, etc) and it puts it all together real nice!
