Here's a screen from the next game I'm working on. It's simple, retro, physics based arena combat game. You control the Fist and your goal is to keep the Face ninjas from destroying your heart. Controls are really simple, just tap to punch. Depending on the health of the enemy they will either get knocked off screen or bounce off the walls. The gameplay is a little like aggressively playing air hockey and trying not to score against yourself. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Based on the developer alone I'm super looking forward to this! Well, and the title, which is amazing.
Screen Shot 2 New screen. This has the HUD and some bombs. The game is getting close now. I should be working on sounds and the trailer next week. I know it's hard to tell how it'll play from just screens.
Added the trailer to the first post. This should give a better sense of how it plays. Music is "Heart Beeps" by Computeher. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Free, as in...? 1) Totally free with absolutely no IAP 2) Free with some optional IAP 3) Free with a bit of grinding with the option to buy IAP, but still fun 4) Gameloft 5) The equivalent of a crappymium town builder After that awesome trailer though, I'll be picking it up no matter what!
Glad you liked the trailer! I'd say it's closest to 3. It's free, but there will be ads and IAP. You can buy different coin amounts or a coin doubler. Any IAP will remove the ads. The game is based around belts, white through black, 9 in total. Each of the first seven belts ads a new ninja type. The higher the belt the more time you have to fight, therefore more time to get a high score. You can unlock belts with coins, but you'll have 3 achievements you must complete to actually earn the belt. I wanted everyone to play all the types so I kept the coins required for those first belts low. I think of them more as tutorial belts. The coins required to unlock the later belts goes up, but by that time you should know if you like the game. You'll have to grind a little, but I tried to keep it sane.
Ok, cool. I'm ok with anything but 4 and 5 basically. Sounds like a cool concept, and I like that you didn't just go "oh hey, let's make this game plus one or two new mechanics," but you actually made YOUR OWN game. And it looks sweet!
