bigrand1: We're expecting to submit to Apple in early October.

Beto_Machado: I'm not sure what ads you're referring to - the upsell screen in the lite version, perhaps?

RttaM - We don't plan on incorporating the OpenFeint leaf into the icon. OpenFeint will still be used for achievements/leaderboards. If Apple's GameCenter becomes available, we'll consider a switch.

Will there be controls to move your character or is it auto movement?

Is this going to play like super ko boxing 2? Because I remeber getting pocket boxing off of some free marketing promotion, and I didn't really give it a try because the artwork didn't seem really good..maybe I was being too harsh. But some suggestions this time from what i can remeber:
-make it in landscape mode this time
-hopefully the artwork is indeed better this time
-controls better-maybe a super move for each character
-make each character more recognizable so that you can connect with each character. If you make them all genereic boxers i don't think that i'm really going to look forward to battling a specific person. Altough I do look forward to playing as kimbo slice.

and also how many more game modes??

The sequel extends upon the mechanics of the existing Pocket Boxing game. There are links to both free and full versions in the first post for anyone that is curious about the play control.

In Pocket Boxing, you can chose to throw left or right handed punches to head or body, and each punch behaves differently. The left jab is your quickest punch, and is useful to set up combinations, but it doesn't hurt as much as your right cross. The default player has two special moves, an uppercut and right hook.

In addition to dodging left or right, you can duck. This is required to avoid some opponent's special attacks. You can also choose to raise or lower your guard to protect against normal blows.

Pocket Boxing plays in all four orientations, portrait, landscape, and all flip combinations, and the sequel will, too.

The pictures included in this thread are actual images from the upcomming sequel, which is a dramatic departure from the original's pixel art.

We're now accepting testers! If interested, please send me a PM and list your device type, OS version, 40 character device id, and (if you have one), your OpenFeint handle.

We'd love to get a mix of folk with iPhone4, iPad, and older iPod models.

Thanks! There are some minor sound sync glitches, and YouTube's transcoder did a number on video quality, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

While we're continuing to improve the game, I'm particularly pleased with how it already looks on iPhone4 (retina display) and iPad.
