Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Hi there! We are two guys working day and night with a hard-boiled arcade shooter for iOS and Android. The game is called Huntdown and is a bit of a cyberpunkish platformer with lots of action. We both grew up with Commodore-computers in the 80s and we have a passion for old retro games. So we´re designing the game with hand-drawn pixel animations and using old tracker-programs for the soundtrack. The game will feature action packed 60 fps gameplay, co-op multiplayer and lots of enemies and bosses. We would love to get some input from you guys! It's a mixed of Ken the survivor and Akira in some way with a bit of blade runner, just want I wanted!
Thanks guys! We are thrilled you like it. That's great! We love the Warriors Awesome! We are thinking about going for a free version (play the full game as much as you like but if you die you start over) and a one time cost to always be able to continue at the level you die. We want as many people as possible to play the game but without doing the microtransaction stuff we don't like. We believe some hardcore players will love the challenge to beat the game with one life, and the rest of us will enjoy the game enough to buy the full version with unlimited continues. I hope you guys like this approach? Great! Oh you heard that, we put it in in the last minute Maybe Broforce? Great game! Thanks! We will try to get it out as soon as possible! Great references! We want to capture the vibe from all the 80s hardboiled action movies/games we watched and played as kids!
Yes! That pricing system is perfect. I will be paying for sure. Thank you! Billy I do have a question. How well is ammo placed? Is there a basic weapon that has unlimited ammo? Or do you really have to make every shot count?
I'm in too! Yeah this just jumped up on my radar and I will now have to move some money around just to purchase this! I love it! Hard boIled meaning hardcore too? Cause I'd love this game to be decently hard. I love the design and consider it bought day one my friend
Definitely keeping my eye on this. Another solid looking premium game on the radar. Keep the updates coming.
I'm not too big of a fan for old school retro platformers but I don't know how anyone could watch that trailer and not want to play it. The graphics are amazing. You guys are doing and insane job. Keep up the great work!
