And, at least IMHO - it is worth the extra couple bucks rather than the 2x iPhone on the iPad. DelBoy2181 Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2011 857 0 0 London, England #6 DelBoy2181, Nov 28, 2011 Yeah, I bought both in the end and they are great games. Prior to their recent sale I'd never played/owned a MumboJumbo game but now I've got 3 of their games. It's disappointing to know that MumboJumbo don't get the recognition they deserve for making quality games. They're not even in the top 100 games on the UK App Store - and there's quite a few crap games up there in the charts. I'm hoping they get more recognition so that they can continue making more quality games. It's like Space Miner - fantastic game but they aren't making a sequel, I think because sales weren't that great or something like that. If there is one thread for a compilation of a company's sales and then individual game threads for games people want to be sure others see, what is the harm? This is what the sale section is for. DelBoy2181 Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2011 857 0 0 London, England #8 DelBoy2181, Nov 28, 2011 Thank you! I don't work for MumboJumbo or have any connection with them but I'm hoping that by highlighting some of their games that I enjoy/bought recently (and wish to share with others) that they'll be able to continue making more great games. I've seen too many good game developers go bust simply because they aren't generating enough income even if there is nothing wrong with their games. Poor marketing I guess? They have certainly been around for a long time. I would guess they are like Big Fish. Anyways, they have produced expensive games in the past for the PC and console makers. I think that they generated a lot of ire in the TA crowd a couple years back (can't remember when) when they forced a favorite game of the TA crowd (Stoneloops) out of the Appstore, because of its similar qualities to Luxor... Anyways, since then MJ seems to generate less enthusiasm here on TA then perhaps they would at another site... Anyways, I don't know the particulars. I have Stoneloops - although I have no idea if it plays under the current OS - I guess I'll give it a try EDIT - tried it, and it still works fine under OS 5.01.. Cool... But, I also have bought many MJ games, and I think they are a good company - generally producing top drawer games. I'm glad that you like their offerings. A completely different genre - but also excellent are the Midnight Mysteries series of HoGs... the Salem one is one I have played several times, and continue to enjoy - one of the better HoGs produced in my opinion... Anyways, mostly just responding to why MJ may be appearing to get a cool reception here on TA -although there are not a lot of the "old" members still around and posting.. Who knows - they are killer match 3 s in my book... pluto6 Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2009 5,837 3 38 Military #11 pluto6, Nov 29, 2011 synth - you are a good person, and I enjoy reading your posts - and whatever you wrote initially was not that harsh...
