MrMojoRisin Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 1,183 0 0 #10 MrMojoRisin, Nov 21, 2012 It's one of those games where the premise is simple, but the gameplay itself is superdeep. One player is the murderous Mr. M and the other player or players are investigators. Currently if you are playing alone, you can only play as Mr. M, but they are supposedly working on a Mr. M AI. As Mr. M, you start the game by choosing one of two randomly selected characters to be the murderer for that game. Then each turn, the investigators get to move, then it's your turn to move, then you pull off a murder. When it's your turn to move, you can either choose two characters that weren't moved by the investigators that turn, or one character that already had been moved. The translation is wrong in the current version, which makes that part a little confusing, but it shows the number and which characters you can choose to move, so just go by that. Now when you are moving characters as Mr. M, you want to move everyone in such a way that when you go to commit a murder, it creates the maximum number of suspects. The first kill is really important, because that will be the starting pool of suspects and it will only go down from there, so be carefull in what you choose to do that first turn. You really just have to know what all the murder cards do, but you will learn them as you play more games and get the feel for when to use each different one. Then as the investigators take their turns, they need to land a character on each of the murder victims (or use a special ability) to find out the cause of death, and then then all the ppossible suspects will be marked. They can also use abilities to find out people that are innocent, so they will eventually widdle down the suspect list. As Mr. M. you want to try to do murders that leave multiple suspects, so keep in mind who is still a suspect and try to do murders that keep the suspicion on them each turn. After five turns, if they haven't already figured out the killer, then there will be a short list of suspects based on who is still possible, and the computer will randomly guess which one is Mr. M. If they guess right, you lose. If they guess wrong, you win! So the more people you leave as suspects by the end of the game, the more chances you have to win. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #11 nightc1, Nov 21, 2012 I played a little of this last night. Overall it's interesting but not something I want to play on my own so I zapped it. For those looking for a cerebral board game like experience... it's pretty decent. I think on iPad it would be more fun though because everything on the screen is so tiny. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
