The Combat System Earth And Legend features a new and innovative combat system with real-time live action melee attacks and spell casting. The combat system has multiple types of melee damage which include slashing, blunt and piercing attacks. A large variety of melee weapons allow the player to switch damage types at any time. Weapons like bow and arrows cause piercing damage, swords and axes cause slashing damage, and hammers and clubs cause blunt damage. The combat system also features additional types of magical damage such as fire and energy attacks. The different damage types are important because certain creatures are more resistant or vulnerable to certain attacks. For example, attacking a fire based creature with a fire attack spell will do very little or no damage at all, so players must plan attacks carefully. Also, players can choose to enhance their combat skills in different ways. Earth And Legend features 3 different skill lines which allow a player to focus on becoming a better melee fighter, archer or magician. As the game progresses, special combat techniques and abilities can be learned such as area of effect spells, enhanced bow skills and unique hand to hand combat styles. Pets Earth And Legend features the ability to own pets. Not only do pets make great companions but they also are trained to fight alone side their owner in combat. In Earth And Legend, a player's pet can be transformed into a variety of different creatures, not only different types of dogs. Although dogs are the common pets used by many warriors, sometimes it may be better to use a different creature in battle. Different pet types do different forms of damage. While dogs do piercing damage with their bite, other pets do different melee or magical attacks. Also, each pet type has a unique skill or bonus that is used in combat such as the ability to stun an enemy or cause an enemy to bleed. Players can use special magical potions to transform a pet between forms at any time and there is no limit on how many times a pet can be changed. Real Day and Night Earth And Legend features a true in-game cycle of night and day on a 24 hour based time system. Every real world second is equal to 1 minute in the game world. This means that every minute or 60 seconds of real world gameplay is equal to 1 hour or 60 minutes in the game world. So for every 24 minutes that the game is played, a full night and day cycle of 24 hours passes in the game world. The night and day feature is more than just a visual element of the game, it also affected the gameplay itself. For example, some events and quests are based on the time of day. In addition, some creatures are affects by daylight and moonlight, becoming harder to kill if attacked at the wrong time. Just like in the real world, players are not forced to wait for time to pass. Its a nice step in the right direction. Maybe they can add wi-fi capability later. First game by them was single player only. Now you can multiplayer it over bluetooth. Maybe their next game will be a full blown mmo?
