I believe that since there is no mobile version of the web page a Touch Arcade App could be very helpful. There are hundreds of devs on this site who would be very willing to create one with the consent of the owners. Whether or not this app would contain access to the forums or not would be your decision but as how I see it if this site is ABOUT the iPhone why not be a PART of the iPhone as well.
Don't be a jerk. iVaro, we love the idea and have been asking for one for a while, but it's not happening yet. We even had a dev or two volunterr to make it.

Hi, Most mobile versions of sites such as this one have limited on no oppurtunity for the site to place advertisements. This is what keeps sites running is advertising and if people are not viewing those ads, then the site is losing revenues when the advertiser does not get a return on their investment. I do not know if this is the reason for the site owners, in this situation, but it is a reason for several that I have brought the issue up with. Sites need revenue, even from a mobile version to keep running. If they are not making money from the mobile version, there is not a real benefit for allowing or making one. As I said, I do not know if this is the reason here but just offering a possible reason. I know there might be those who may be upset if this is the reason but if it is, it is just a smart business decision by the site owners as the way they see as best to keep the site running. David
However it opens the site up to a bunch more people and they could always sell advirtisements on that app or even charge for the app
Hi, I would think, based on posts read here and other sites, that a lot of complaints would come from seeing the ads on a mobile version and would also complain of charging for something they would say they can view for free. No win situation there. I might be wrong here but I think most sites base their ad rates on number of hits by those using a desktop browser, meaning hits by a mobile browser do not help a site determine price or sell ads for them.
