To the East: Queen Omnibus, busy 'taming' neighbouring kingdoms with the tip of her blade. In between is you.You begin by crafting the most basic of tools, tying a sharpened stone to a small piece of wood as a hatchet, but before long your town will be teeming and with travellers from all across the land. They'll buy your wares at the local shops, come to check out the sights, have some food and drink at your tavern, they'll come looking to trade with you, or work for you. Fish, farm, forage, hire, fire, and explore the bizarre and unique world of TownCraft.Stuff you'll do in TownCraft:* Play a new world every time – no two worlds will ever be the same thanks to procedurally generated maps!* Test your skill at crafting, with hundreds of different objects to create.* Build bridges, jetties, workshops and windmills as you create a fully functioning and self-sufficient town.* Order around your muck-ridden peasants as they manage your gold mines, stone quarries, crop fields, lakes, shops and taverns.* Play in a world with a real-time day and night cycle – watch as your workers wake up, go to work, hit the tavern to meet some passing travellers later at night and then get some shut-eye again.* Explore each new world and unearth countless resources, from cotton to canary eggs, gold to grapes, wheat to wax and stone to silver.* Follow an off-beat story as kingdoms vie for control.* NO IN-GAME PURCHASES EVER! TownCraft is a full game with heaps to discover. You won't be bothered by prompts to share anything, buy anything, watch any ads or anything of the sort. We're not going to nickel and dime you. Shame it's iPad only though, most games that are iPad only fail to succeed and have to drop the price much sooner. It's a shame, pandemic took the hit, too. Leigh748 New Member Dec 1, 2013 3 0 0 Game designer Sydney, Australia http://Www.flatearthgames.com.au #6 Leigh748, Dec 1, 2013 Heya, Dev of TownCraft here. Stoked to see people are into the game and everything. Just felt I should chime in and let you know that we're focused on getting an iPhone version done, just didn't have the resources to do it at launch, and didn't wanna do a rush job. Anyone who's played it can probably understand that those grand swiping gestures for opening and closing panels really wouldn't work on a tiny screen, so we're having to come up with a new UI before we can get it on phones. Oh and with the support thing, me and my brother made the game outside of our day jobs over two years, and didn't really have any money to throw at it. So all our artists and musicians and everything worked on it for free, but we just kinda all share the cash that we do get from sales. Plan is though to use the cash from the iPad version to properly promote it when we do hit phones, get a marketing budget and all that and see what we can do with it. Anyway, thanks for the comments! New level coming next week! Has a river running through it. ramon31 Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 843 0 16 Hortacultrist Australia #7 ramon31, Dec 1, 2013 We'll done on the game, you should post this comment on the thread for the game as well. The more post the more chance it will make the hot games column. Then even more exposure. This community usually love these sort of games. ramon31 Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 843 0 16 Hortacultrist Australia #8 ramon31, Dec 1, 2013 Is the app going to be universal? And also a lot of people that use toucharcade only buy games that have gamecenter, are thinking about implementing it in a future update? chapel07 Well-Known Member Jan 3, 2012 451 0 0 #9 chapel07, Dec 1, 2013 Highly recommended..this is the closest thing to harvestmoon that ive played in ios socom39 Well-Known Member Feb 14, 2010 233 0 0 Hey you, the one with the face! #10 socom39, Dec 1, 2013 Am I to late to the sale Leigh748 New Member Dec 1, 2013 3 0 0 Game designer Sydney, Australia http://Www.flatearthgames.com.au #11 Leigh748, Dec 2, 2013 Yeah, I'll do that. Can't hurt to keep the discussion going, especially since we've got a whole bunch of new players with the sale. Yes, we're going to make it a universal app. Made that decision very early on - want to try and never punish people for having bought our game too early or anything like that. And with Game Center, not including it kind of ran along with the same philosophy as not having in-app purchases. Wanted to keep the game distraction-free and just let people kinda lose themselves in it. But you're not the first person to suggest it, so we've been looking at just putting it in there for achievements, if nothing else. Still don't really feel leaderboards are appropriate for our game though. So yeah short version, Game Center probably in the next few updates, and universal app definitely.
