just wondering. I have played a few slot machine type games and become very bored without the leaderboard competition....................
No, but it would still fun to have high scrores............. nothing to do with if it has skill or not.
I guess, also if high scores were implemented, they should be done when you quit or cash out......not at your highest point. Anyway i think it would make it better !!
I would think that with the many many slot machine games/apps in the store that at least one of them would have it by now just for the hell of it, but you gotta understand slots is a rigged game, one that requires no skill and all luck. I won't put more than $2 into slot machines when I'm at the casinos. I would rather play games where you can at least control your destiny to a certain extent.
Yes, it's kind of useless. However, Chris Miles nevertheless added it into iSlots Plus. It's actually been in there since the jailbreak days before the App Store.
I was just searching for slot machine games last night and found one that was newly released called Cleopatra from IGT that does have an online leaderboard. The game is $1.99 right now. Apparently it's based on a real life slot game, the sounds in the game are great but the graphics are kind of rough. There are two game modes, INSTANT PLAY and TOURNAMENT MODE. Instant play just lets you play for fun. Tournament mode starts you with $3000, you can place bets from $1-5 on each spin and from 1 to 20 lines. All the money you win goes into a separate SCORE total. Once you run out of money, it submits your score to the leaderboard. That's basically all there is to the game. It's definitely not the most polished slots game available, but the leaderboard definitely makes the game much more exciting.
Slots definitely isn't a rigged game if you are playing in a real casino. The payout percentages are tightly regulated and depending on the laws usually fall around 90%, meaning that you should average about 90 cents for every dollar you play. At the same time, I agree with you, it has nothing to do with skill and you can get a better payout at a skill game if you know what you are doing. I like playing the slots though because I get caught up in the excitement of it where you never know what could happen.
It is rigged. You pull a lever and whatever the machine is programmed to pay out (percentage wise for every dollar) is what the gamblers get. Most state laws require the machines to pay back around 80-90% in state casinos. THis does not apply to Indian casinos, they can choose to pay back 10% if they want.
