Great, great idea! You can count Braineaters in! I hope to see devs supporting those actions! Cheers.
Really think this is a great idea. You guys just need some serious pub. We could create a thread here on TA as soon as you guys are close to done setting it up.
We are being sponsored by mindjuice games and have a web designer and database programmer ready. we are serious.
I would like to thank the devs that have signed up so far. we have a few developers willing to join in 2 hours!
So basically the plan right now is to get a manually edited version of the site up ASAP, and have the development of a database-driven site done in the next week or two (I am optimistic!). I've registered the domain and got the Twitter account & email account setup, so we have a place to host it. Now we just need the actual site! We have received a generous offer from a graphic artist on TA to create a logo and site concept (not sure if you want your name mentioned, but speak up if you do ), and I have another friend who will create the static HTML site based on that the artist's design. It looks like I'll have to hire someone to do the dynamic parts that interact with the database using PHP though, which I am prepared to do. Moving right along!
Definitely...if you are a PHP/MySQL expert! Otherwise, right now I think we just need some help spreading the word to developers. I hope to have a teaser page up on the actual website in a few days and then we can get people registered for the twitter feed, and get devs lined up.
@MindJuice: Sent you an email. And yeah, no problem if you feel like mentioning me. @motitas: Please count my app in!
