GeoDefense goes from fixed path to free form TD!

There are also new terrain types that effect the level. Prices of towers also change based on the level to keep insure that you have to keep changing your strategies

It's already done and being polished up before it's sent to Apple.

Oh, and it's confirmed to come out at 99 cents!

Ok a sure buy for me, even if just out of loyalty to an awesome dev. But I think it will be amazing.

Eh, I'm sick of TDs. Plus, open field is kinda boring. In my opinion, geoDefense was overhyped.

    Feel free to flame =]

I couldn't BE more excited about this.

Let's hope that they make an endless mode, please?

I also found out that Critical Thought Games also made the Hero Engine for the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO by EA/Bioware! impressive stuff.

    @STP_Tim:
I always liked it because it was so brutally difficult. It's the way I like my TD games to be, well actually all games in general. It reminds me of the games I had when I was growing up. Where telling your friends that you stayed up all weekend and beat Ninja Gaiden II was met with gasps of awe

Thats the same reason I like it the intense difficulty. Hopefully that will transfer over to this version as well.

That is true, but still I'd rather spend my time playing Star Defense, Sentinel 2, or something of the sort... again all personal preference (not somebody who is a huge TD fan).

Also, Ninja Gaiden II was freakin ridiculously hard.

Bah, another spot on my remaining page.

I'd prefer it be a purchasable expansion.

From what I've seen from David it looks to be more challenging!!

Some of the terrain include: No Tower Placement, No Creep Movement, Heal Creeps, Speed Boost to Creeps

Vortex Towers are now placed on the map for you to limit us using too many

Then of course the price changes. So on maps where Lasers can be extra helpful... they may end up costing an arm and a leg

Yeah, I usually play one map a day and that's it. I love a good challenge.

I was looking at my nintendo and saw NGII right next to it. I've only beat it once in my life and I can't remember how I did it. I was half comatose and fueled by caffeine and my personal mantra of "One more Level and I'll go to bed"

@Bat: I couldn't agree more. I still haven't bought any ingame expansions though. I still don't know what happens to it if I change devices or something like that.

The speed boost to creeps and healing sound promising for sure.

I agree with bat though I would prefer an in app expansion, I have only 5 spaces left.

I am really on the fence about this. I got through the medium levels in geo defense by the skin of my teeth. I can't even beat a level on hard, and free form TDs are always so much harder because you have to set up the path... I want this game, but I don't think I am ready to take the mockery of being unable to do anything. Maybe there will be an "infants" gameplay mode... :p

Geo Defense is the only TD I've come across where the brutal difficulty level really felt like it was properly designed all the way through. Because of that it never got frustrating for me despite having to try levels again and again, it was a wonderful challenge to beat.

In the other TDs it feels more like everything is going fine until the game randomly throws something impossible at you.

Plus the technical implementation of Geo Defense is wonderful. Absolutely looking forward to this sequel!
