Hey, I have a little question here,

the SDK for the iPhone/iPod Touch is free, so when you release an app on appstore, apple has to approve it.

But my question is, whats is the percentage of benefits that apple makes vs the benefits of the dev each time an app is sold?

For exemple, on a $0.99 game, how much go to the devs and how much go to apple when seomone buy it?

    thanks

  2. 70% to dev, 30% to Apple. For the specific case of $.99, the dev get $.70 (Apple actually rounds up!!!)

    i believe the dev gets 70% (.70c for a .99 game)

EDIT: you beat me to it, virtual pool!

In order to actually release an App on the store, you have to pay $100 up front as well. But, Apple chooses to filter submissions anyway.
