Having finished the game last night on my iPhone, I'm glad they're going tom make the app universal, because I probably wouldn't have bought it again.
Great news about the update being universal. This is why I was holding off. Will buy it now! Thanks, Dicework!
First they are submitting the bug fix update either today or tomorrow. Then they have to finish up the updates for the Universal version - which also includes some free new content.
Thanks Pope22 for posting this, and Thanks Diceworks for an amazing game. Finished it on all three characters, and will probably repeat this on the iPad once available. I'm happy to see that some dev's think about their customers rather than trying to rip them at every turn. Settlers of Catan HD was launched recently and according to the game it has exactly the same content that Settlers had, but the dev's are proposing to charge again for it. Customers are more savvy that that!
Sorry but I don't think that customer selfishness comes into it. No-one here has any issue in paying a fair rate for a great title in fact I'd have paid more for this one especially if the dev had mentioned that a free universal update was coming down the line. There has been too many times when an app has been launched with the promise of an iPad version down the line. Then when it appears it is more expensive than the original. Settlers of Catan was one such game and Simcity was another. The problem comes from sometimes being asked to pay twice for the same title on a different format when there is no discernable difference between the two. My post was to thank the dev's of a genuinely great game for the many hours of enjoyment I have had out of Rimelands, which I and lots of others are looking forward to seeing on the iPad. Maybe it is down to Apple preventing the dev's from issuing full or partial refunds for earlier purchases which I think would be a great idea, or perhaps down to some owners wanting to 'maximise' their revenue, it's definately not about customer selfishness.
Any news? Bringing this up, asking the same question: Is there any news about an iPad version of this game? We need more turn based RPGs on iOS.
If I say I am testing it .... And I am liking it, despite it took me lot of time to get past one quest ......
Unfortunately I am not sure I can say much about it ... I leave it ti CM to give details or screenshots. I can only confirm it is coming!
