The Judges said: "Great gameplay, fantastic concept, great graphics... combines elements of Tetris with Bejeweled and Flight Control and takes advantage of iPhone gaming features like touchscreen line-drawing and tilting." WHAT THE REVIEWERS SAY“Virus Strike has the makings of a major winner - so do yourself a favor: get your hands on it now.” – AppVader“It will convert you from Bejeweled.” – Funtouch"This game is a must to check out... it has the same effect as Doodle Jump: addiction." – App Stories“A good puzzler experience.” – TUAW“Virus Strike is a pick up and go game, fun to play over and over.” – Appletell"Unique but simple and intuitive." Appolicious"Has the hallmarks of a great game: easy to play, difficult to master." Nine Over Ten"Give it a shot if you're a puzzle fan." – GizmodoA NEW KIND OF GAMEPresenting a unique new challenge to gamers everywhere, VIRUS STRIKE unites classic puzzle and physics-based problem solving with intuitive iPhone gaming features like touchscreen line-drawing and tilting. An app this groundbreaking has rarely been seen in the App Store – yet it is miraculously easy to pick up and play. HOW TO PLAY Different-colored viruses will invade your screen. Draw lines and tilt the screen to direct viruses of the same color into groups, and then use antibodies to neutralise them. Direct the wrong antibody to the wrong-colored group and the viruses will multiply! FEATURES One of the game’s best features is the realistic way the viruses and antibodies obey the laws of physics – to you, the lines are mere drawings, but to them, the lines are physical barriers. For example: - If the line you draw is a slope, the viruses will roll down it. - Tilt the screen and the viruses will roll down those slopes faster. - Alternatively, draw a circle around the viruses and they will be trapped! INFINITE HOURS OF FUN Just make sure you clear your schedule before downloading it – because you won’t be able to quit once you start... I have Virus Strike since it came out. Brilliant combination of Tetris, Bejeweled and Flight Control elements—combined with accurate physics! You need tilt & draw & touch skillness and a good micro timing management. Sounds complicated but it isn't. Don't give up too early! There are still all chances even when your pile of viruses reaches the marker line. I am pretty sure you'll get better on each attempt! Good satisfying feeling on success, promised! The last update was in Nov. 2010; that means: Runs on old devices (iOS 3.0)—and the resume function works flawless Guaranteed NO "In-App Purchases", no micro payment with real money (hidden or not), no consumables, no time consuming online scores, no freemium crap and no other "bonus features" and complications of our modern times (there are local highscores) Kind of interactive and full functional computer museum in your shirt pocket Nevertheless: Controls work perfect. Makes use of the advanced technique in the small smart devices, it was a sensation these days and you can feel that even now by playing that little & precious casual game Recommended not only for action puzzle fanatics but even for tech nerds! Featured in my blog. Thx to devs for the Virus Strike freebie and AnarKitty for the heads-up and touchArcade for the forum! Call me old-fashioned. But I'm afraid that tilt & touch & draw was more spectacular two or three years ago than IAP & Game Center & iCloud today. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel There is no music in the game actually but there are some effect sounds (w switch/off function) and you can listen to your iTunes/iPod archive or to some internet radio during gameplay.
