    Hey all

We (Super Icon) have just launched a Kickstarter campaign for our Life of Pixel game, please check it out at:

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1272313960/life-of-pixel

Basically Life of Pixel is a game that we made because we love 8-bit gaming, we grew up with it and really wanted to do a proper tribute to that era.

It is a platformer where you play within a number of classic 8-bit machines, including all their graphical and sound limitations.

So you get to explore the following systems:

    • Atari 2600
    • Commodore 64
    • ZX Spectrum
    • ZX81
    • BBC Micro
    • Amstrad CPC464
    • GameBoy
    • NES
    • Master System

Really appreciate any help; pass the link on, or like our page.

Must admit i love the look of this. You can tell i'm old when the level i really like is the ZX81 mono one !

I 'presume' this has on screen buttons and isnt some crazy tilt to go left or right and walk down the road and swipe your neighbours door to jump kinda thing ?

Not a huge kickstarter fan but i would 100% buy this if it came/or when to iOS

Yep - it will definitely have on-screen buttons - no tilt!

Looks great i did wonder if there was any legal issues using the brand names of the different consoles?

We were advised that we should be fine - unlikely anyone would object, and the only still going platform holder is Nintendo.

Well it looks really great, will you still bring it to ios even if it does not get the kickstarter backing?

We'll try to - but cashflow at the moment is an issue so we'd probably have to wait until we finish a couple of other titles first that we're working on to see if we earn any revenue (PSM sales are really poor unfortunately).

Looks cool, seems like you really captured the sound and feel of the different systems. I'm not a huge platformer fan myself so I don't think I'll back it, but I really like the retro style and I wish you guys the best.

  10. I have a weak spot for retro-themed platformers, and this is no exception. Can't wait!
