I don't know how customizable the forum software is behind the scenes. But if you can detect the user agent, it might be fun to see a little icon or something indicating when a post was made from an iPhone (or iPod Touch). It could also encourage people to visit the site more when away from their computer. This post was NOT made from my iPhone
I would be interested in doing this if the forums worked the same way as they do at iLounge.com from the iPod Touch. Personally I'd like to see the whole site become mobile Safari friendly, but I'm sure that's asking for a tall order. LOL
I dont think this website is too not-iPod-friendly. The only thing I have trouble with is changing pages in a thread. Everything else zooms in nicely on safari. And since I only post on these forums from my touch, I guess I could just put it in my signature
In what way? Aside from the page change thing, I'm not having any particular issues and I'm on my Touch right now. Although I'm also sitting right in front of my computer. --Eric
Even on a bad day, nearly ANY site is quite functional on an iPhone. Maybe an iPhone stylesheet to auto-enlarge some fonts would be useful though.
i dont visit touchacrade on the touch, i use to, but it actually takes longer to do so..the main site is fine, and so is appshopper.com, but unless im bored, i wouldnt visit the forums on the device I would like a native app, like pocketgamers has, one that intergrates into the forum, as well as displaying the RSS feeds
