Hi People! BulkyPix here! We're the co-producers of Journey to Hell (previously known as "Project Holy Shield"). We're proud with DogBox Studio and Audiogaming to show you today a development diary of the game. Enjoy ! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
It looks like game has evolved so much when you look previous videos and new one, just amazing Few questions thou: Can you list supported devices or is it too early for that? Are you using Unity 3.5.6 or Unity 4 beta? - I ask this one just because it looks so graphically advanced. I think alot of people dont know about this game and would love it if they do. Too bad every move Rovio does with Angry Birds gets front paged somewhere and this one does not - not aimed at TA just saying
Thank you! People at DogBox, AudioGaming and BulkyPix are working hard to deliver a good game that we hope you'll like to play. @sicksilvo, the answers to your questions: - Supported devices will be iPad 2, iPad 3, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. No support for iPhone 3, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, sorry. iPad Mini and iPad 4 should normally be supported as no further development is required, but it will be confirmed later. - The game is developed with Unity 4
I must have watched this video at least 20 times. The graphics and lighting are the best I've seen on mobile, it actually looks like a Proper console game! I'm surprised not too many people know about this, it should be on the front page of touch arcade!
Hi! Thank you! DogBox Studio is working hard to impress you, guys! The game is indeed graphically impressive but another interesting point is the sound. It uses the audio procedural technology of another of our partners: AudioGaming. As far as we know, it's the first time that a mobile game pushes the sound design so far. In a word, the technology allows to generate sounds by the computer instead of using recorded sounds. It could appear simple but it's very complex and it allows much better results. If you're curious about it you can read this article: http://www.develop-online.net/features/1678/Procedural-audio-with-Unity and this page on AudioGaming's website: http://www.audiogaming.net/procedural-audio-unity3d
Hi! The game was delayed for improvements and polish reasons. It's now scheduled to be released during the first quarter of 2013.
