Codito, a developer out of Calgary, AB, has acquired the license to a lot of great boardgames. These aren't your lame Monopoly / Sorry type family games, but rather games with little reliance on luck and which require the ability for strategic play: Age of Industry Brief History of the World El Grande Le Havre Medici Ra Tigris & Euphrates Tikal More details / announcements on the licenses in their Twitter feed. There are more upcoming boardgames for iPad in this list at BoardGameGeek.
Pretty Excited to see Ra and Medici since they are coming out Q3 of this year Hopefully they give these license proper care cause if they mess up Ra I might boycott the other releases
Indeed, but I suppose it is a huge job to develop something like talisman. I'd buy the price of the board game for that app (60$). But I suppose it will never happen. Fantasy flight games guards their board games pretty well.
Too bad Capcom's version of Talisman for the 360 fell through a couple years ago. I still have the "coming soon" flyer that was included in the board game.
I'm waiting for a Dominion and Arkham Horror adaptions, they could do extremely well on iPad, but generally every boardgame could be quite succesful on it.
Man, EVERYONE I know (in the boardgaming / iPad sphere anyways ) wants Dominion on the iPad. Price that @ $10 with the expansions for $5, and I would insta-purchase every one. Of course, it would need local and online play as well as AI. As long as you have that, you have a winner.
