Pocket Heroes Promo Art Hey everyone, I know we haven't been sharing as much info lately but we've got our heads down and we're working to get Pocket Heroes out to all of you this Spring. We've started working with a really talented artist who has put together some promo art for the game and I had to share one of the pieces with you. Let me officially introduce you to the first four character classes in Pocket Heroes. The Mechie, Lunar Priestess, Paladin, and Rogue. Let me know what you think.
While I'm personally a more 'plain fantasy' type so I cannot truly appreciate the mechie,I find the art really gorgeous. Reminds me that many generations ago I bought videogames attracted by cover art in the boxes...while not a fan of the chainsaw in a fantasy setting that 'cover' would at least make me inform well about the game. Already loving it...the wait starts really to be a pain...
I can definitely understand that viewpoint. We've had a few people who haven't been so sure about the technology level of the Dwarves but we wanted to break out of the standard fantasy tropes a little bit. We really felt that Dwarves were a great race to modify and quickly decided that our Dwarves could strive to overcome their diminutive size with science and technology. So, while the Mechie has a steam-powered suit we have other Dwarves that use science in other ways to make themselves powerful. I really appreciate you sticking with us through this long wait. We're working hard to make sure it's been worth it.
Official page, woooot!!!! Release date and price too!!!! http://www.ayopagames.com/games/pocket-heroes/
So a Mechie is essintaly a Dwarf that is a geek/Nerd when it comes to Science and technology, correct?
I love the art style, some fantasy games take themselves too seriously but it's nice to see you are not going that route. Has a nice art direction, reminds me a little of Torchlights but not so much you would think you were aiming for it (that's a compliment by the way!). All in all I just want this injected into my veins asap.
Argh damn it I was looking in the app store for this. But it's only April :-( oh well still a month to go....................
I'm starting to really get excited about this one. This is the only one that I can think of that I really want on my iPod before I start really cutting back on my support of Apple and the App store in particular.
. . . Same here . . . -_- . . . Though I've been really surprised at how little attention this thread has received as of late . . . You'd think there'd be more people eagerly waiting . . .
