Hello folks! Shameless plug here, but we just submitted this to the app store last night, so very excited! It's what we're calling a Point and Touch adventure - paying homage to Monkey Island and the like. Julius Brown wants to be in the movie business! Having finished his very first script, he wants a shot at the big time, and with a national scriptwriting contest conveniently happening in his hometown, things couldn't seem anymore straightforward. When it all goes wrong, only a time traveling fridge can save the day. Help Julius make his mark in the all-new adventure game, All Fridges Are Psychotic. FEATURES - Amazing Point and Touch interface - Unique hand drawn artwork by Manda Rin from Bis - A time traveling fridge - Fiendishly clever puzzles - Hilarious dialogue Would love to hear what you think!
This looks really good. Really like the artwork. Somewhat surreal too - a time travelling fridge?! What kind of price have you set for it?
Very original storyline! I usually don't have that much time to play these longer games, but I may just have to check this one out.
$2.99 sounds like a good price for this kinda game. Reminds me of the flash game series Slacker (which I'm STILL waiting for a 3rd one... that's probably never going to happen) and for some reason the old PC game Beavis and Butthead in Virtual Stupidity. Love the ridiculous storyline. I'll probably check it out after Christmas when I get a bunch of iTunes cards. Any lite version? It usually will help sales by allowing people to get a taste of the kind of puzzles in the game. I'd say give one or two puzzles, or let them explore a decently sized area and get in a puzzle or two. And good luck. I really like the way this game looks and hope that you do well. I'm sure it's going to be a hidden gem. The sense of humor is great so far, the kind you really don't see much in new games. After playing MI: Special Edition and Steel Sky, I'm on an adventure game craze right now so this should be perfect.
Thanks! Oh, that's interesting. Will check those games out. Yeah, we were thinking of a lite version, I've heard stories of them doing well, as well as having no impact whatsoever. It would be fairly easy to make, so there's no harm in it. Oh, and about the storyline...Gustav, the time-travelling fridge is actually a reject from the Back to the Future trilogy. This is based on the true fact that instead of a DeLorean, the original choice of time machine for the film was a fridge!
wow, this looks great, nice art, funny story, just looks..... epic good luck, dont worry, we're an easy crowd here at TA
Do you have an estimate on when this'll hit the store? I just got a gift card today and I'm lookin forward to this.
In a sea of 99 cent games, $2.99 actually sounds a bit refreshing. LOL I think it's a good call to help distinguish it somewhat, if even because people will wonder "why is it $2.99?"
Haha! @Somerandomdude - We submitted to the store on Thursday, and apparently the current waiting time is 2 weeks, so hopefully then! Keep a few dollars from your gift card 'til then!! Anyone submitted to the app store recently? If so, how long did you have to wait?
i loved how paper mario looked ill be buying this for sure, cant wait for it to come out now i heard the deadline to submit to get the app into the appstore before 2010 was november24
Oh yeah, crap I remember seeing that somewhere too... Hope it's just a rumor, but they've been putting out apps at a ridiculous speed in comparison lately. I guess if you wanted the game out by the holiday rush, they required it to be in by then, but the game wasn't even done then... so yeah... that's lame. And I am also a fan of the animation. Paper Mario is one of my favorite games, and the animation was part of the reason. Can't wait still.
Wow, that is pretty quick. I beta tested a game that was submitted in October at the earliest and it's still nit out yet. This one will probably be out by Christmas though
