Hello everyone, I'm asking for feedback. My name is Luke, and I'm a new product manager for Avacata. We have a game on the appstore called Bishook. It's a tic-tac-toe game with chess pieces. It's a really interesting game because the pieces can move once they're on the board, so there's quite a bit of strategy. The game is free for the 3x3 board, and the 4x4 and 5x5 boards are each $0.99 upgrades. There are no ads at all. I'm just asking for people to play a little bit and give me some feedback. What do you like? What would you suggest? Feedback can be posted here to the forum or emailed directly to me at [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your help. Luke Bishook. Each player starts with one or more Bishops, Rooks and Knights. Each turn consists of moving a piece onto the board or moving a piece that is already on the board. Once a piece is on the board, it is limited to the move rules of chess: Rooks move in rows or columns, Bishops diagonally, and Knights in an L shaped jump. Sounds simple! And it is...to play. But it is not as simple to win. Just as you get your pieces placed so that your opponent cannot cannot block and victory appears to be within your grasp, they swap one of their pieces with one of yours! Curses...foiled again! (Between you and me, I never liked your opponent. I think you can beat them). Bishook is Game Center enabled. Play your friends! Play strangers! Play the person sitting next to you using one phone! Play the computer (I think it cheats)! Today, there are three boards available: 3x3, 4x4, 5x5. Start with the small board...it is free. If you want a bigger challenge, buy one of the bigger boards (they are cheap). What about your friends, you ask? How will you know which boards they own? It doesn't matter. If you bought the 5x5, you can play any of your friends or even a random opponent and they will be able to play whether or not they have bought the same board. Sweet! Our pledge to the player: At Avacata, players are very special and deserve our utmost respect. So we make this promise to you: at no time will this game start sending you spammy reminders. This is our pledge to you. We want you to enjoy playing this game as much as we enjoyed creating it. Would you consider adding the option to remove the "accept move" question as well as visual color theme or color customization options? I hate to sound like a picky jerk but would you consider an app icon with no border, maybe just the chess piece and a one color background ( in keeping with the game's current scheme)? Really nice idea, buying the bigger boards, as I imagine it can get a lot more hectic. thumbs07 Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2010 922 0 16 UK #8 thumbs07, Feb 19, 2016 I was looking for this thread. The premise is interesting. The game as a whole could definitely use some polish. The pieces that you can select should be moved up a bit. If you are not careful you can accidentally bring up the control center when trying to select a piece. The game also needs more explanation as to what buttons do. When you win/lose a match there is no way to know what the arrows mean. Play again? Return to title screen? Etc. I would also add some animation that shows what is happening. It's easy to lose track of a piece. The moves snap into place and it can be very confusing what's going on. This seems like a decent intro app. Keep trying and add more polish and the potential is definitely there for a good game.
