Hey everyone! In name of Twirlbound, our 3-man game studio, I want to proudly present our debut game for iOS: With the Wind!

In With the Wind, players take the role of Annema, daughter of the legendary Ruler of Winds Aeolus. Aeolus, who appears in multiple ancient Greek tales (such as the Odyssee), is in need of help: he needs to fill his stock of bags of wind, in order to distribute the winds over the earthly lands. Annema, as do all of her sisters, has the ability to move with the wind in her back, which enables her to manipulate the environment and get those bags of wind!

In the 90+ puzzles the game offers at release, players are challenged with different spatial puzzle problems, which gets increasingly difficult with additional mechanics like switches and color-coded switches!

Next to the game's challenging puzzles, we worked really hard on the With the Wind Puzzle Creator, giving players endless puzzles and an outlet for any inspiration they might get from all the puzzling!

    Build your puzzles...

    ...and play them right away!

We really hope you all like what you see - and we'd love to hear what you think. If there are any suggestions for features in either the normal game mode or Puzzle Creator, let us know!

Some things we have already planned:
    • - Undo and redo functionality in the browser (not in the screenshot)
    • - Search options in the browser (not in the screenshot)
    • - The game is being translated in 12 languages!

With the Wind will release on May 14, 2015 on iPhone and iPad.

Looking good. A bit of video to see how it plays would be nice.

Looks fascinating, graphics are quite pretty.
Is this the sokoban variant in which blocks move with the character at the same time?

Looks that way. The first image above is animated and shows just that.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! We'll put up a gameplay trailer shortly, to show a bit more of how it plays.

It's sort of similar to Sokoban, yes, in that it's a spatial puzzle with blocks! I'll record another gif to show one entire puzzle soon.

We're hoping to make it a premium title, in Apple's new "Pay once and play forever" category, but we're discussing this with Apple next week. In the meantime we're also translating it into 12 languages!

So, after quite a while, here it is: the very first trailer!

The game is going to be released in 8 languages: English, German, Italian, Dutch, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish and Spanish. Exstensive beta tests have pointed out that it takes around 6 hours to complete all puzzles, after which you can dive into the Puzzle Creator to make your own or take on user-generated content.

    Mark thy calendars, May 14!

  10. Looks great! I hope it's non-linear so if you get stuck on a puzzle, you can try another?

Thanks! It is linear, but there is a possibility to skip a puzzle if it's a bit too hard using things we call Athena's Owls! We've tested the puzzle curve and progress for over a year with a lot of people, we've heard it works great right now. Thanks for your comment!

Here's a new video, this time one of the Puzzle Creator and what it looks like to make a puzzle from start to end! Tip: put the YouTube player on x2 speed to see a timelapse.

Your game looks great. The art detail is very nice. Mechanics ( in the video) look good.
All I can say is... I have to wait until the 14th?. What??!! :)

    Looking forward to it.

Well done. Liked the level editor's customizability but it seems to have a learning curve.

Thanks everyone for the comments and compliments!

@sgk.george, if you mean the game itself, we made sure that the learning curve for the puzzles is perfect. The testers in the last few months indicated that it was very smooth! As for the level editor, that is actually taught through gameplay - if you understand the puzzles, you understand the editor. You unlock parts of the editor as you play the regular puzzles so that you only have the known tools available to you. :)
