Taking a break this year from creating another complex SRPG has finally given me enough time for a few game project experiments, and one of these experiments has turned into a fully fledged game in the meantime. Gameplay Evil space balloons are about to invade Earth. You and your animal assistants are the world's last line of defense in this crazy physics-based puzzle game. Pop the mean balloons with nails and shoot them with their own laser guns. Use water cannons, magnets, fans, trampolines, animal cannons and many other tools to overcome the obstacles and challenges. Collect stars to unlock secret animal assistants. All 90+ game levels can be played for free. Optionally, you can support our work by paying a small one-time fee to unlock all of the cute animal assistants. Each animal comes with its own unique physics attributes, offering more variety and requiring a slightly different solution at times. It's also possible to remove the in-game advertising with a one-time fee, if you want to, but the ads are placed in a way that this shouldn't be really necessary, imho. Release July 16, 2015 Universal app Free Localization English, Russian, Spanish, French, German Trailer Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Story Seriously, what's wrong with those balloons? Why do they invade Earth, and what could a balloon possibly hope to accomplish, anyway? Their laser weapons seem to be suited for hurting themselves only, and what's up with this suicidal notion of hanging around next to nails all the time? Our human brains are obviously not developed enough to fathom the whole complexity behind the aliens' motivation, so a simple hypothesis has to suffice for now: 'They do so, because why not?' Inspiration for Earth vs Balloons Earth vs Balloons was mainly inspired by the movie Mars Attacks! from 1996. If you've ever watched this (imho highly underrated) movie, you might have wondered at some point why the Martians decided to attack Earth. Were they planning to take over the galaxy, or was the Mars about to become uninhabitable? Nope. They just attacked Earth for the mere fun of it. That was always my understanding, at least. Earth vs Balloons takes this idea one step further down the road of absurdity: Not only do the aliens invade Earth for no apparent reason, they also bring all the equipment with them to be ultimately destroyed.
