27/02 Only as this is quite an amazing week for games: Slide the shakes Fishing Break SuperTribes Love you to Bits Assassins Creed Identity Faily Brakes
My game of the week has to be RYB. It's now one of my favorite puzzle games of all time. It's a shame I seem to be the only one who even noticed the thread, though. I keep having this dream is pretty good also.
The two games I played the most this week were Shockwave by Crecent Moon and Futurama: Game of Drones. They're both good fun. I was very underwhelmed by Slide the Shakes. Also, didn't try the Staff GotW, Love You To Bits. Still playing Tomb of the Mask and Tennis Champs daily as well.
Futurama: Game of Drones for me. I'm also enjoying I Keep Having This Dream and Super Tribes, though I've played both of them a small fraction of what I've spent on Futurama. But my avatar is a head in a jar, so no surprise!
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=3798161#post3798161 Thoughts on other games: Slide the Shakes: Looks nice but when you start listening to the tinkles and just memorizing the powers you need it gets a little dull. It's like one-dimensional golf, kinda. Blackbox: Very creative and fun but some of the levels just have ridiculous goals that you'll only ever be able to complete once or twice a year. I prefer the tight and 100% logical design of RYB rather than the creative, occasionally genius, often frustrating minimal design of Blackbox. Shockwave: Was very fun. I'm a bit prejudiced against twitch games though. They're fun but I never stay hooked for long. Plus I don't like games that have no concrete endgoal. Love You to Bits: I haven't gotten around to playing this one yet, don't shoot me.
Of those listed, I play Identity the most from this weeks releases. Not listed though... I am playing Robocide more.
Super tribes for me. Slide the shakes was nice, original and unique, but gets repetitive. Fishing break was excellent Arcadic fishing but no matter how you dress it up, fishing can only get so far an exciting an experience. Dangling the rod, and hoping. Super tribes streamlined the civ formula to make a very playable game. Need to try love ya to bits.
