    Hi all,

where do you buy sounds for your game (if u have not a sound designer in your crew, obviously) ?

I'm checking AudioJungle but most sounds price are very high.. almost 5$ or 10$... for commercial license.

I've also buyed a collection of 3000 sounds but seems that most of the wav are recorded from a TV or other source... i've doubt using that sounds will put me in copyright infringment...

how can i be sure that an audio i bought on internet are royalty free... a txt license can save me from a infrigment issue?

    Thanks in advance,

Royalty free is most times a bit dubios.
We used http://www.soundsnap.com/ for effects for our first game. There is enough stuff to use and it is 1$ per sound.
For pads/background music we bought some Magix Soundpool dvds (the older ones, the newer ones are not free to use for commercial).

There are some sites that claim to have royalty free sounds,
    like
    soundjay
    listed here
    List of free sfx

I've used sounds from these sites in my games.

The whole license thing I'm not to sure of, but my guess is that if you buy from someone that seems legit with a proper license file then it should be ok.

soundsnap.com is THE place for free/low cost-high quality sound effects! of course the best way is to record them specificaly for your game (either you or hire some freelancer sound designers as myself and many others - freelancer.com would be a good place to start and the prices are very low)

    Thank you all very much!

Very useful information, i've subscribed to SoundSnap right now...

I'm going to use some public domain sounds too...

I only wonder if i've to put SoundSnap or sounds creators in credits of my game... that should be a loooooong list indeed!

Thx again pal, you are very kind
