Presenting 'The Magnificent Pixel Dynasty', the rouguelike inspired sequel to 'All Glory to the Pixel King'!

As King or Queen, design, build and strengthen your castle, and lead your citizens into turn-based battle against rival kingdoms who dare to defy you... or just hide behind a strong fortress wall and rooms of bodyguards while your loyal subjects do the fighting!

The big change for the sequel is that each unit is an individual, with a name, skills, customisable equipment and, potentially, a family to carry on their legacy. But legacy is fragile, and so are soldiers. Units lost in battle won't be coming back!

It should be hitting the App Store, for all iOS devices, sometime next few weeks! In the meantime, feel free to post any questions about the game in this thread.

Ha! After what happened last time?

Actual answer: No zombies at launch, as I have some plans brewing for a future update involving lots of different afflictions and curses, including the classic zombification!

Ok, so in that picture the character has magic skill, some other abilities... how does that play out?

You start the game with 8 units, each of which has a green ability that they specialise in and a red ability that they are weak at. These stats can grow through using them in battle, for example dealing physical damage can raise a unit's power, but the likelihood of growth is dependant on their affinity for that stat.

A little way into the game, any two units who have offspring together pass the green and red stats down to their children.

Various weapons and armour can also be equipped to modify a unit's abilities.

What say ye, pixel kings and dynasts, is this simply an improvement of the first game, or different enough that both should be played?
