I missed it earlier. It runs circles around the iPad an pretty much everything else. Windows 8 will only improve on all of this. I also posted a second review link made by a so called Apple fan. And the third link is Msoft's plan to improve on performance with Windows 8. I'll just say this: you'll get what you pay for. Unfortunately, that's a lot for the latter case. Yes, the thing is a frigging beast. But at that price point (upwards of $1k), you could get better specs in a nice, lightweight laptop or even an Ultrabook (Dell XPS 13, for example, at $999 entry-level). I don't see the advantage of having a tablet over the XPS 13, but you probably do. The iPad is half the price for entry-level. For a lot of people, that's reason enough to prefer Apple's offering. Just illuminating the scene a tad.
I don't understand why i have to be confined to that thread. IMO, the question Sanuku asked opened the door for these responses and I'm not the only person that made them. And the Slate 7 is already available. And even if it wasn't, my view would be the way it was back before I found out about the wonders of Slate 7/Win8. Whatever! Omg yes, the family phone contract is finally expiring soon..early April. Getting a 4S then. Probably going to get another 32 GB device. So stoked I won't need to carry around two devices everywhere I go like I've been doing for the past three years and some months.
Getting the U-Verse phone/internet/TV plan Thursday. Omg, internet that's 10x faster than what I have now + hundreds of channels. Finally going to be able to consume media appropriately whenever I visit home/when it's break. So stoked, lmao. The university internet is literally 15x faster than what I have at home, possibly 20x. Family is entering the modern age.
I got Timeline for FB on September 23rd. After nearly six months, I just realized the privacy setting for all of my statuses and such were defaulted to the "Only Me" privacy setting since then. I've literally been talking to myself for the past half year. Just went back and unlocked over 250 posts. Wow.
On the bright side, my gf just got FB again for the first time in 2 years. It's going to be fun annoying the hell out of our 1000+ friends.
