Arrrgh Havent used itunes for a while, loaded it up, connected my ipod and nothing. My computers seen it as it appears under 'my computer' but itunes isnt. Then i got this error... "unknown error 0xE80000084" Searched google, lots of other people have this problem, my device isnt jailbroken. I've deleted itunes, reinstalled but still the same. Same for my ipod and iphone. Frustrating, anyone else have any ideas ? On the Apple forum people seem to be re-installing itunes but that doesnt work for me.
I've had many problems with iTunes. Can't really say I've figured it out either. You may want to try uninstalling everything iTunes/iPod related. Disable your firewall/virus protection and then try installing it. I wish I had a perfect answer for you, but I've had more problems with iTunes than I care to mention.
Cheers It might not be a coincidence that i've installed a new firewall recently (free one) rather than my paid for AVG. I thought perhaps the ituneshelper.exe or another file were getting blocked. Frustrating !!! I'll try one more uninstall, also turn off or uninstall my firewall and go from there
