Each player has to use the five members of his team in a 25-turns each match to score the most goals. A die role at the beginning of each turn determines the movement points available for that turn. For each point, a team member or the ball can be moved one square. Every time you pass the ball to a member of your team, you gain an extra point of movement and you are only allowed to move a single member per turn. Sounds easy? Well, it is...... or so it seems at first. Don't let the simple rules fool you: Streetsoccer is a gem of a strategic board game! After your first serious beating by the AI, you'll probably agree...- 4 different computer opponents that should even give experienced players a fun/tough time.- Local 2-player pass-and-play mode.- Game Center turn-based AND live play- Play-by-mail- Customizable jerseys- 3D user camera navigation- ... and much moreWe spent the last three years polishing the user interface, making the AI stronger and adding more and more feature. And we're not done yet: Drop us an email and participate which features will be added next... Information Seller: Genre:Board, Sports Release:Oct 17, 2013 Updated:Nov 30, -0001 Version: Size:0.0 TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating: (2) Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal This is a conversion of an easy to play but hard to master board game where you take turns with an opponent (or one of several different AI's) rolling a die and moving your little soccer player "meeples" on a grid. When you move one of your guys onto the ball, you then get to move the ball with the rest of your roll, where you have to follow certain rules about where the ball can go that make the game quite interesting and challenging. Think of it like a simplified Blood Bowl without any of the theme or violence, so it's perfect for a whole family to enjoy. So let me know what you like/dislike and I'll see what I can do. Right now I'm working on DICE+ support and improving the 3D graphics (a.k.a. the "where are the trees"-problem ) Have fun Alex Kraudi2k Well-Known Member May 24, 2012 339 1 18 Male #3 Kraudi2k, Oct 18, 2013 This looks interesting but a bit too pricy for me. Athenstean Member Oct 18, 2013 22 0 0 #5 Athenstean, Oct 18, 2013 Well, I can tell you as much: It's rather going up The thing is that I've spent a lot of time and passion on it and I've bought tons of apps that have been cheaper that I haven't played after a while. This has excellent replay value and - despite the sparse graphic - has been beta tested and polished for a long time plus it's a universal. And think of it like this: 3.99 is like what? Not even a cinema ticket... Plus from experience with another app I have learned that cheaper price attracts the wrong people. I rather have a smaller, active community of people that made an actual buying decision for this game rather than clicking another 99c game. The former tend to be very passionate and help improve the game... So I doubt I'll ever make it cheaper, it's way more likely I'll increase the price with the more features I put in there. I know that A LOT of Streetsoccer fans are waiting for the tournament servers for example... (sorry for the soap box, but AppStore prices bare any connection with reality ) Know what: I'll PM you two each a promo code and then you can post here if it's worth it after playing it a couple of weeks slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 5 36 #6 slamraman, Oct 18, 2013 Purely for the last post, I'm picking this up now. It's a TBS? Turn based strategy? But is it random with dice? Or it depends on the players skills? Nachtfischer Well-Known Member Feb 7, 2013 230 8 18 Game Designer Germany https://ludokultur.de/ #10 Nachtfischer, Oct 18, 2013 So, how important is luck in the game? I have only seen a video, but it seems you roll a die every time to move and shoot. I get that given the huge number of die rolls the results will numerically roughly even out over the length of a whole game. But still player A may just get the roll he needed in a given situation to score a goal, while I get these great rolls, when I actually don't need them that urgently. So, my guess would be that a lot of things come down to getting the right rolls at the right time. Beyond that there obviously is strategy involved in terms of positioning etc. But I like my decisions in games to be as little as possible disturbed by randomness/luck. toxiccheese Well-Known Member Mar 21, 2010 394 0 0 #11 toxiccheese, Oct 18, 2013 Well you sold me on the game, and I'm not a soccer fan! I didnt see 3D element shine any where. -The sound is ok. -Game play sure is odd. I dont complain about it, but can you add more and more rpg element here. Suggestion: +A ball holding and tackling system?to divide the team to defender and foward. dice roll to determine who will have the ball after tackle. +make the match have achievement that give item to boost the odd of tackle(and defend). +A player energy system? the more you run the more tired you player will be. And another odd thing i see, i score 1 goal and move 2 or 3 player in front of the opponent goal and i score 10 more. seem abit unfair. That will be all, thanks for your code. will check back if you got any update around. Athenstean Member Oct 18, 2013 22 0 0 #13 Athenstean, Oct 18, 2013 Hi all, Currently add the day job and browsing on my iPad, so I got to make it "short" for now: - "where is the street": *lol* bonus points for you! Well, people always complained for the original boardgame why a game called streetsoccer is in a park. So I thought I strip the street, put some trees in there and make it look like Hyde Park, then add a second stage where you actually play in the streets of New York or so. Unfortunately, 3D artists kept dropping in and out of the project, so I had to do it myself and they just did not make it in time. Having more fancy stages is pretty high on my list... - yes, it's turn-based, 25 turns each plus overtime period. A game usually takes like 5-10 minutes. - the die is as random as a computer program can make it. Check out my blog and you'll see there will be support for rolling with a hardware die soon : ) - luck factor: there are definitely matches where you just have bad luck. However, if you check out sites like littlegolem.net or other streetsoccer tournament sites, you'll always see the same people up in the top ranks. I played against the author of the boardgame a couple of times and I barely have a chance because he is blocking so well, you would not believe it! That's the beauty of this game: you think it's trivially stupid until you get a proper thrashing by someone with some experience ; ) - follow up goals: is that against one of the easier AIs? It should not happen with the strongest one. If it does, feel free to go to the "watch" menu, tap mail and send me a session, I'll check if the AI is making mistakes. : ) the first three actually make mistakes because beta testers kept complaining that they had no chance ; ) I also plan to ask people to send me their sessions and write customized AIs that mimic their strategies! - variants/RPG: well, unfortunately this is one thing I won't be able to do due to the licensing terms. The author of the boardgame is very adamant about having a fixed rule set, especially because we want to take the app into a direction where you can play tournaments with others. If you check boardgamegeek, there have always been lots of variants proposed but in the end, it works best as it is. The author spent years of balancing it to have simple rules but a great strategic depth... So sorry, that is out of my hand. Maybe at some point if a lot of people are asking for it... At 69p ill pretty much jump on anything so your more likely to get impulse buyers like me but at a higher price (compared to the rest of the AppStore) I'll just stick it in my appshopper wish list and wait for it on sale or free, unless it's something I really want, but I've never heard of this before and there doesn't seem to be any impressions from people yet. Especially lately as the trend seems to be release a game one week for full price then a few days later it's either free or 69p which has made my purchasing games lately slow down compared to last year or the year before as it seems to be getting worse and worse. Sorry pretty sure that's all off topic Any impressions yet. MrMojoRisin Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 1,183 0 0 #16 MrMojoRisin, Oct 18, 2013 Impression: This game is awesome. Sorry for sounding like another user on this board, lol, but this game really is great. Like the developer said, the game itself has been tested and perfected to be a fine mix of strategy and luck, but with the luck factor not being so overwhelming that you don't feel in control. Usually when I am scored on, I can look and see where I left myself open to an easy goal. The app itself isn't super fancy or anything, but what they have produced is very polished and user friendly, and easy enough on the eyes that you can concentrate on what is important, and that is the gameplay. And the most important thing about this app is the replay factor. You can play this over and over and the luck factor is just enough that you never know how a match will turn out. If you are intrigued by this style of game, as I was (I have never played the physical game, even though I knew of its existence), then you will definitely get your money's worth! But if you are on the fence or one of those "wait for the price to go down even though lunch at McDonald's costs more" then I don't know what to tell you, other then don't hold your breath, according to that the dev has said. slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 5 36 #17 slamraman, Oct 18, 2013 Just played one game with the AI and got royally pumped 4-1. I actually think it could be very tactical if you have the time (or patience). It seems reasonably bare bones just now but it is after all a board game that uses dice. Is it worth two pounds fifty? Of course it's worth two pounds fifty to people who are willing to pay it. I really hope you manage to keep the price where it is and get a decent fan base to keep playing it.
