Sounds more like the original Driver than GTA, as its car focused. I've been hoping for a version of Driver, but maybe this will do the trick. BTW, in case anyone doesn't know Cobra mobile made both iBomber and Low Grav Racer.
Sounds cool. Any screens? Just on a side note route 666 is also the name of a really bad zombie movie
Yet another top-down, AKA I couldn't care less. It might be good, but I don't think any of the top-downs will be able to match Gangster.
I am quite the opposite. While GangstAr looks technically impressive.. that alone is the only reason i will be getting it. For my iphone games i like stuff that is quicker to play in short bursts... so in the same genre stuff like CJS. There are probably quite a few people in both camps though.
I dunno, I was keen to Payback. I loved GTA1&2, where as the only one I cared to play after that was 3. After that, I was done. I just get to bored of them fast.... I mean really fast. While Gang$tar looks good, I doubt I will get it solely on the technical splendour of it.
The Pocket Gamer guys were talking about Gang$tar on their podcast and started saying that gameloft would have a lot of competition from another game by another developer (does anyone recall this podcast?). They didn't go into detail, all they said was that Gang$tar would have some big competition on it's hands. I'm hoping that it's not this game, and it was rockstar that contacted them. The one thing that is keeping me hoping, is the fact that this is a top down game. Unless it has super amazing 3d graphics and more content/stuff to do, I don't really see it providing much in the way of competition to Gameloft's 'Gang$tar'.
It's early days in the development, but you can see the 'Teaser Poster' and some concept art for Route 666 on the Cobra Art Team Blog. http://cobramobileart.blogspot.com/
