for promo codes, you go to the spot where you would enter gift card codes (redeem) and put the code in there. On your ipod you go to feautured then scroll all the way to the bottom for the redeem section. For beta testing I still have to figure that out.
... thats great.. so what we now know is that once you download the game using your code it should download... a lot of the time though there won't be any codes left though <DrK>
If you are beta testing a game the developer will provide with a "provisions" file and the game file. You add both of those to iTunes and sync your iPod. The provisions files tells iTunes that YOUR iPod is allowed to have that certain copy of the game.
Yes, there is. I'm pretty sure that the provisions file contains all of the UDIDs allowed to use the beta, which iTunes checks to see if your device is one of. Might be wrong about that though.
