Here are the first screen shots of Good vs Evil 3D.
*EDIT* New images have been added in a post further down the page *EDIT*

For those of you who haven't played the current version of Good vs Evil, the game is similar to battle chess. When you attack the opponent you are transported to the dungeon to battle it out.

The game features full 3D, use your finger to pan and zoom around the entire board or battle.

The game features a virtual d-pad and shoot button in the battle.

    Expect more soon!

    ----------------------------------------------------

    • 1 player & 2 player on a single device

    • 16 characters with unique weapons and abilities
    • Unique mix of strategy and action
    • Level up system for each character
    • 6 different types of Magic to use in the battles

The sprites are still in 2d however...otherwise the game looks pretty good!

Will this game be a update to the original Good vs Evil or will it be a new game?

The 3D environment adds a new element to the game. Especially the battles.

The game will be released separately from the current Good vs Evil.

If you have any further questions please let me know.

    Thanks

While I never played the old version and was very confused with Archon (which I believe is a remake of the same game), this one completely blows Archon out of the water as far as visuals, which was a big turn off for me with that game. Hopefully it plays well, because even though I was disappointed with Archon, I may have to get this game to give the classic another try.

Here are some new screen shots from the latest build of the game.

Well, 1.) I don't know what anyone's talkin about Archon being out. I've been watching for it for a long time, and I don't see it in the App store.
2.) Are these 3d or 2d sprites. It's lookin like the original G v E except the playfield. Please correct me if Im wrong, I did not see you respond the the earlier post by a member regarding the sprites. Thank you.

The characters are 2D...they are similar to the characters in the original Good vs Evil our artists have "reworked" them in high resolution. The game build that the screen shots were taken from does not have the high res characters. When the game is released, you will be able to zoom in close the characters without losing clarity.

We chose to stick with the 2D characters because:
    a) Up close they have a lot of detail...this isn't possible with 3D characters.
    b) we like the "paper mario" look

The virtual dpad controls will match the camera angle. For example, pressing right will always make the character move to "your" right. This allows the player to use any camera angle in the battles.

I'm happy to answer any questions.

We just released some photos from the final build of the game. You can see that the detail and resolution of the characters has increased substantially.
