Just got this... Hello, Inner Four, Inc. is a responsible, caring publisher, who would never knowingly infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. Please be advised that Inner Four, Inc. legitimately purchased the entire "Metal Sun" project and its sourcecode on August 4th 2009. During this transitionary phase, it is understandable that some fans of the original game may not have been aware of the purchase. An update to the game with revised graphics from Inner Four, Inc. is planned for the future. If there are any further concerns regarding title, please don't hesitate to ask us prior to jumping to any conclusions. Could you give a little explanation here? It looks important but I can't really tell what's going on.
If you look at F15: Eagle Flight of the Defender and Metal sun If you look at F15: Eagle Flight of the Defender and Metal Sun they are exact duplicates except F15 costs 1 dollar more. A lot of us that are loyal to Metal Sun's Dev were upset that Inner Four blatantly ripped off the game Metal Sun... now it seems that Inner Four has purchased the Metal Sun game, and re-released it under a new name with a dollar increase in price... what this means for the promised 3GS update for metal Sun is still up in the air.
Inner four recently made an exact replica of Silver Machine Games's Metal Sun app. This email states that they purchased the rights of the game. Also, NR4(inner four) is now on TA, in the F15 thread.
Tact meaning what? That I wasn't tactful? The point of my email was to elicit a response as opposed to it not being taken seriously and never replied to.
Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. The company is "double dipping" while they can. Sell the same product under two "different" names, no less. The latest app store scam.
