Hi. Does anyone know the best "Galaga" style game. I've heard of Skysmash, Independance, Radiant, etc. but I don't know which one to choose. Any suggestions?
Radiant is more like space invaders but I highly recommend it, the retro feel, the controls, the gameplay is very good and polished. A well made title by Hexage.
Welcome to the forums, mcshine. Next time, make sure to create your thread in the proper section. This should have gone in Game Discussion. (And actually, there's a whole massive "what to get" thread already, so this should have probably gone there.) That said, you won't go wrong with either Skysmash or Roswell Fighter (especially after the update). There's also Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, Skyforce and Skyforce Reloaded, among others.

Try the free version of Galaga remix before buying. The controls take a bit to get used to. I have both Remix and Radiant and recommend them both BUT both games have shortcommings.
Radiant is pure awesome. If you get only one game on your list, make is Radiant. Just don't be too critical of the corny dialog. It's part of the charm. ________ MARK 2
