I quit gaming on my iPhone in favor of console gaming about a year ago, returned to the iPhone now, wondering what's new and worth playing. The last games I played was Pocket Legends and Prince of Persia Warrior Within. I started gaming on my iPhone 4 two days ago, but only a game called Order and Chaos Online. And I'm surprised to see just how far iPhone games has come in a year. The last games I remember being hyped about was Mirror's Edge and Aralon: Sword and Shadow RPG. So, any worthwhile games aside from Order and Chaos Online ? How did Mirror's Edge and Aralon turn out ? Nova 2 ? Modern Combat 2 ? Did Activistion release anything besides Zombies ? Basically, what are the best "console-like" iPhone 4 games currently out there ? I remember alot of talk about Rage coming to the iPhone too. And the Unreal 3 Engine. Thank you
Well, my opinion of Aralon... I really liked it! Didn't become as big of a thing as I expected (meaning on the forums, I was thinking it was going to be used as that holy game other game makers look up to) but it was pretty fun... Lots of physics games coming out... Dungeon Hunters 2 by Gameloft is a game I liked
oh wow... you've been out quite a while. Pro tip: be prepared to spend upwards of 100. well upwards. some really good reccommendations: MC2 NOVA2 9mm (releasing tonight looks awesome) aralon like you said infinity blade (gorgeous game using UE3) dead space real racing 2 World of Goo and I haven't really touched this, but sword & sworcery BUY THOSE NOW!!! (there might be some I left out/don't have/forgot) some other really good games: a lot of stuff by gameloft. from PoPW, it's gotten a lot better. multiplayer from gameloft is absolute gold. EA stepped up their game as well. NBA Jam is excellent battleheart: mika mobile: awesome Sonic & Sega All star racing is awesome! best cart racer on iOS. zenonia 3 is out if you liked that stuff touchgrind BMX great little war game death rally (I thought it was meh but others loved it) bumpy road bug heroes league of evil mos speedrun and there has to be a ridiculous amount I've left out.

Editting Phatty's list with my own opinions, additions, etc. Modern Combat 2- best FPS, still people online NOVA 2 is a golden sequel, still people online aralon turned out great infinity blade (gorgeous game using UE3) dead space- best shooter and scary like you wouldn't believe real racing 2- awesome racing simulation World of Goo- best game release on iOS so far in my opinion sword & sworcery has great music and pixel art, very creative NBA Jam is excellent; best sports game I own battleheart is a great strategy game, uses the touch screen well touchgrind BMX is another golden release great little war game is a great turn based strategy game, great developers death rally (I love it) bumpy road bug heroes league of evil sword and soldiers- hilarious side scroller is almost like a 2d RTS Starfront is an awesome 3D RTS; good online modes and good interface dungeon raid and forget me not are unique and highly addictive TouchArcade favorites Snuggle Truck is an odd one, but it is a whole lotta fun Mirror's Edge came out well and there has to be a ridiculous amount I've left out.
