I enjoyed Chip's Challenge a lot when I played it on the Atari Lynx, but I liked Crystal Mines II -- which is a bit similar -- even better. Puzzling iPhone was searching for comparable games on the iPhone a while back, you can read about it here and here. Of the games they mention, I tried some Bobby Carrot and liked it.

Yes, I used to play that game. A quick Google search reveals some interesting posts: 1) Chip's Challenge ported to iPhone in some capacity. 2) Similar games.
Loopy Lab as mentioned above is actually really good. I have since removed it from my phone as it hasn't been updated in ages. I love it, but I want more levels. The dev has claimed to be working on it. Great game though, was worth the price for me.
