I am aware of FF Tactics, Ravenmark, and the Shining Force games. I would really like magic spells and units/characters that level up, like a proper turn based rpg. Anything you all recommend? Thank you!

Knighturn and Sword & Earrings, both by Mangobile, are great.

    Everyone, thank you!

Undeadcow - I remember stumbling on these games, thanks for the heads up.

SkyMuffin - ! I have that on my Mac, I just forgot about it (somehow)! I think I might skip the iPhone/Pod version and wait until I have an iPad mini to play that one.

Rubicon - AGH!! I was actually playing GLWG when I thought about the post. And p.s. thank you for making GLWG free a while back - that's how I got it. Such a great game; thank you! I will buy your new game day one (to actually support you), for sure!

    :D

    Highborn is great.

World to Conquer is often overlooked.

    Dungeon Crawlers

Palm Kingdoms 2 has me hooked, but places greater emphasis on world exploration than standard TBS.

Wow, gotta love Rubicon devs. Cannot wait to see this game finished. Consider it already bought, just as I did with GLWG and BLWG.
