First off, i know there are a plethora of different threads about this, but they all seem to mention generic games that are, frankly, boring. I was aiming towards an RTS kind of like Company of Heroes or World in Conflict (both PC games). It doesn't matter if it's a medieval context or modern combat context. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Also has anyone had problems with their GH (guitar hero) app in the way of not letting them connect to the internet? Thanks
Welcome to Posting on TA trundley! (The way you announced the plethora does sound like you have been a long time lurker ) To help you with your question.... Command & Conquer, robocalypse - mobile mayhem ?
Best RTS games are simple here: LASW (for simply playing) and Red Conquest (for campaign and maybe online, idk how many people are around now).
For $0.99 I would really recommend Warfare Inc. What sold me was the forums on their website. They have a very large and thriving community, which is good because the game has multiplayer. Check it out.
Thanks for all the replies but i have played nearly all of the games! I will list reasons why i stopped LASW: Mega units didnt work for me, all unit stopped working after a couple of plays Red Conquest: Didnt get into it... Settlers: Way WAY too complicated and too slow WI (warfare incorporated): finished game, not enough units, no/not many upgrades for units. Biodefense: was good but got boring Modern conflict: FLAT C&Q: RA: hmmm the path finding wasn't great and only came with 2 maps.
There is also judgement day war, Space station frontier (must have on all reviews vie seen), Rise of the Lost Empires, Robocalypse, and Galcon.
Well, then i guess you've already played all of the good ones. A good RTS is hard enough to do on a high-end pc. Don't expect 'Company of Heroes' or 'Warcraft 3' anytime soon. THQ still thinks of the iphone as a dingleberry, hanging off the hairy butt-cheek of OSX. Just be patient and wait for gameloft's 'StarCraft' ripp-off. They are the only company that sees the great amount of potential that iOS has, and are bringing us closer to console-quality with every new project.
