Considering nearly no other large developer does, no. EA? Firemint? Capcom? Square Enix? Rovio? Popcap? The list goes on and on. The only developers that need to and currently do make their games universal are small indies who need additional selling points for their products. Gameloft is doing something pretty big here. Well, it's actually nothing new since they started making universal games beginning with Order & Chaos late May. It's already been three months, but yeah, they're not doing something that should be taken for granted. And yeah, I have an iPad 2.

They were, but only on few apps.

I guess the worst case of a separate version for Gameloft was Starfront. Good news, though.

    Great.

I just hope they're not planning on releasing their future titles for free and urging you to 'buy' extra lives if you die in-game.

    (LG3 cheapshot!)

This can only be good news!

Especially price wise, nothing worse than the same game labeled HD and double the cost :-(

I wonder if this will add much to the development time of their new games?

It is good news. It save the download time and space. Cost is not a problem for me.
    Always got #FreeGameFriday from them.
And now, I can get game from them for FREE.
