Folkinell New Member Dec 22, 2015 2 0 0 #10 Folkinell, Dec 22, 2015 First thoughts Just downloaded today, onto iPad pro. First thoughts, if they help at all: - runway lights occasionally show through the plane model, which is a little strange. - draw distance for the scenery seems short. I have the graphics set on the highest setting, but the landscape appears to end abruptly - this makes things look a bit odd. Fog effect makes it a bit less so. - personally, I would prefer the "chase" view to have the camera position a little further back from the aircraft. - on the plus side, reflections on the aircraft models, lighting effects, water etc look stunning! Dailon80 Well-Known Member Nov 10, 2014 3,574 66 48 Program Director/Radio DJ Eos #11 Dailon80, Dec 22, 2015 I got a code and wanted to give my early impressions. I'm playing on an iPhone 5s. Graphics are nice and the flying physics are much better than previous flight unlimited games I have played. Their best output yet and easily worth the price due to great aircraft selection and no IAP to fly diff planes etc. visually it's very nice too and the map is detailed. Plus it's not just San Francisco you can also fly San Jose and other surrounding areas. Can't wait to sink more time into it. But no doubt it's worth it's price in the store and I have been skeptical of some of flight unlimited games in the past but this one passes the test. coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #12 coolpepper43, Dec 22, 2015 It lists 2.77GB on the App Store. So does that mean I need at least 5 gigs free to install it? Did you incorporate app thinning for this sim? carking1996 Member Jun 13, 2015 14 0 0 #13 carking1996, Dec 22, 2015 I just gave the game a spin (or fly) for the past 20 minutes. I liked the game very much, was easy to get into and the graphics were nice. On my iPad it looks gorgeous, up there with any game I've played. The physics were pretty nice and fun. I liked being able to fly around real-world places. The area is nicely-sized.. it took me about 10 minutes to fly to the golden gate bridge and try to land. I was a fan of the previous game that had missions. The app page says missions are on their way as well as new planes. Overall, great work guys! conturax New Member Feb 17, 2015 4 0 1 #14 conturax, Dec 22, 2015 How does this compare to Infinite Flight? I'm willing to support both as I love flight sims but would love to hear a comparison. imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,229 22 38 #15 imdakine1, Dec 22, 2015 I commented on your old forum and strongly suggest you add Carmel to Santa Cruz! Santa Cruz has the beach boardwalk with the wooden roller coaster and having mountain, ocean, & beach scenery would be great... Taking off from the Monterey airport to SFO is a common flight and beautiful! . skylined87 Well-Known Member Nov 9, 2014 457 0 16 #16 skylined87, Dec 22, 2015 I don't have much experience with flight sims, with the last one I played being MS Flight Simulator 2000 for PC back when I was in high school. This one looks and feels pretty incredible though. I don't know how this compares to some of the other flight sims available on iOS, but in my opinion the graphics and scenery are beautiful and detailed. The plane models and physics are on point as well. I'm going to have to sink more time into this to give a more detailed impression, but for flight sim fans who are on the fence about whether to pick it up or not...I really think you will be impressed. It runs beautifully on my 6s, and I'm sure it looks even better on an iPad. Thank you devs for having all of the planes available to fly without IAP. That is a big deal to me and many other gamers out there, so that definitely deserves some props. I hope this game sells well and gets some recognition, you guys put a lot of effort into it and it definitely shows! The graphics look stunning on the iPad Air 2 and with everything cranked up to the max it gets about 20-30 FPS. With just FSAA turned off I get a very all round smooth experience. Very minor stutters at times as it streams the world around me. Flying is very smooth and pleasant. I've also gave it a quick go on my iPhone 6 Plus. This poor little thing needs FSAA turned off and texture detail on High for a decent amount of FPS. However, I quickly went back to my iPad Air 2. This game was meant to be experienced on a bigger screen as it looks so gorgeous and it's so much more immersive. The things is though... it did leave me with a "okay, I've seen it now" feeling rather quickly, unfortunately. The sim feels a bit empty at the moment once you've tried a few planes and took off from a few locations. So far I have about 40 minutes of tinkering and flight time into the sim. Two small things I'd like to note up front: - The UI transitions feel incredibly slow. It would be nice if that would be faster and smoother when going from screen to screen - When loading the world, perhaps the black space on the loading screen can feature a nice screenshot of the area you are taking off from? - And last but certainly not least: the stalling BEEP sound... especially with headhphones. IT'S ANNOYING! Most annoying when you crash, as it keeps going and going. Really wish that could be turned off... my poor ears! I'll be giving this sim some more love later, but for now it leaves me with mixed feelings for purchasing it, which is a shame as I felt so hyped about it initially. Weird. (Don't get me wrong. I do very much recommend this sim to anyone, especially with the current 33% off. I am very confident this sim will grow over the course of 2016!)
