Hi, I'm starting iOS development soon and thought to ask you about Apple's restrictions on content. Obviously I'm aware that the "usual type" of forbidden apps (e.g. pornographic) won't make it to the store, but I'm more interested in more special type of restrictions. Is there some comprehensive list of all the rules somewhere? If not, please post the ones you know here. For example: I've heard that an application can not feature a picture of an iOS device. Is that true? Can I link from trial game to full game or make my own custom advertisements advertising the benefits of upgrading to the full version? Can I insert links to web pages? Can I insert links to some 3rd party web shops (promoting e.g. merchandising related to the app)? What else doesn't Apple allow me to do...I'd like to prepare well so that I wouldn't end up doing so much meaningless work.
if you hit up google you will find thoose guidelines pretty easy.. in the end thoose are guidelines and every review is different.. stuff that can be waved through could be a problem with the next update..
if you play and compare Angry Birds Lite version and the Full version, you will have all your answers.
I found the link http://developer.apple.com/appstore/resources/approval/guidelines.html but it requires Apple account, which I don't yet have. I was just wondering if anyone could copy+paste those guidelines here.. or then I just need to check those after I have signed up. Weird that the guidelines are shown only after you have paid the registration fee.
Don't worry... and I wouldn't even like to imagine what kind of merchandising can you sell related to fart apps... hmm, parfumes?
No I think those would be Barfumes feel free to use that one. You could call it Get a load of these fumes.
