Heard about it on the PG podcast. It's like "The Hero" but better (according to PG). Side scrolling, accelerometer controlled, eat fish/people and avoid loosing health from starvation/mines etc.

    Hi everyone,

Many thanks for your kind comments. We're very proud of what is the first FGOL game.
The game is currently in review, so hopefully it'll be released on the App Store within the next week.

Hungry Shark is an accelerometer controlled eat 'em-up. As mentioned previously, we wanted to create a pick up and play style game.

Until it hits the beaches near you, I've posted some screenshots for you to have a look at.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

Well, you've never seen a really Hungry Shark before! :D

Hungry Shark does have a bonus score multiplier based on how many fish you can eat in a short sequence, so the score for each item goes X2, X4 and X8. Other than that, Hungry Shark has a much, much bigger map, with caves to explore, hidden items to find and a variety of enemies. Each type of fish also have their own behaviour, some will attack you, others will try to escape and some swim off and hide.

Many thanks ultimo, very glad to be here!

Are levels completely pre-scripted other than their interactions with the shark (level layout and fishy placement)?

The level is pretty big, so there's a fair bit to explore(I still get lost and I designed it!). The level layout stays the same, but the fish spawning changes so no 2 games will be the same. We will be creating more maps in future updates...

Okay, that's cool enough as long as the fish spawning is randomized. I assume the also means randomly spawned fishermen as well?

The appearance of spawning is not in the exact same place each time. Also, once an area is cleared of food, they will take some time to re-spawn again.

The map is about 25,000px across, so that's over 50 screen widths and it's about a third of that deep.
