    Hi folks,

    [IMG] [IMG]
I just wanted to announce that my upcoming iOS game, MacBrickout will be released on May 22nd.

It's a fun (and challenging) ball & paddle breakout-style game. The best in its genre if you ask me (but I'm a little biased).

I designed this game to be beaten. There are only 27 levels and if you can get through them all you'll get a cool reward at the end. It has over 80 minutes of original music composed by 16-year old Danny Burns.

Scattered throughout the levels, there are hidden fruits and vegetables. You can unhide them by hitting musical bricks in sequence or by catching a rare fruit capsule. Once you catch a fruit or veggie, you get to keep it for life! It will always appear in the sand below your paddle.

I'm considering handing out some promo codes before release if there is interest.

If you want to follow along, Facebook and Twitter links (and a gameplay video) can be found on my MacBrickout.com website.

So hit the bricks, collect the fruits and beat the game. Do those and you'll have a really fun time with my game!

    Thanks!

    I love this game.
I have been beta testing and have reached 2.1M points thus far ... but have not beaten the game in advanced mode.
Let's see who can beat me ;)

I've been beta testing this app for the last 2 months ... can't get a win in the Expert mode ... anyone out there think they can beat me?

You certainly beat my high score. Enjoy it while it lasts. There's probably someone out there that will knock your score off the top slot after the game goes live :)

I'm hoping some people will stick with it long enough to play through all of the levels and see the end.

I also got a chance to give this game a go, and was pleasantly surprised..it is deffo not your ordinary paddle style game. You all should pick this one up! Congrats on a great game Carson!

Can't say I've ever played a breakout game on iOS, but I loved Brickles on my old b&w mac forever ago.

    Curious.

Multiplang, you're in for a treat! You'll want to read through the strategy section in the game at some point to get familiar with the different balls and capsules. That way you'll know which ones to avoid.

    Beating the game

One of my beta testers beat the game in expert mode. Dang. Well at least now I know it can be done :)

This is a great-looking game in one of my favorite genres. If you do give promo codes as mentioned above, keep me in mind.

Well AnarKitty, I guess today is your lucky day. I was giving away a free promo code today on Twitter and nobody claimed it. It's got your name on it. Just contact me and I'll get you squared away :)

I OWN this game ... at least until someone beats my high score ...

    Yes. this is a challenge.

I'll personally give a $10 iTunes GC for the first person to beat my score.

Carson, please let me know when & who does it.

    LET THE CHALLENGE BEGIN :)

Will do. Although the challenge can't begin until next week when the game is released! But I'll let you know. And yeah, getting over 3 million is quite difficult (my high is 1.8 mil and I made the game!) so congrats and I'll let you know if someone ever tops your score. I've got your screenshot handy.

Considering that I am not a "gamer" ... I think there are some awesome talented players out there that can handle it. They just need a little motivation :)

    Different Goals

There are three ways to play MacBrickout:

    1) Go for high score. The MULT is your friend.
    2) Complete the most levels. You'll want to know where you can score free balls. Musical bricks and bonus levels are your friend.
    3) Collect all of the fruits and veggies. Best way to do that is to play a lot of games, and well know your musical bricks too.

    5 days until release :)
