Was just playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 before reading this ironically, I'm playing through the series for the first time and I don't know about addictive but games are a hell of a boredom killer. Problem with a lot of these freemium and f2p games on ios/android though is their basically approaching it from a casino and not a fun perspective that's why I won't even download one of them. The points to get you hooked and siphon your wallet off like a slot machine or something.
I think those are the equivalent of an attractive girl who keeps teasing you, shes obviously out of your league but in your head you think 'i think she likes me.....' and you get teased and teased and you just keep going, acting the fool, buying her things and in the end you realise you stand no chance ! These games just keep teasing you for one more try, one more go etc ! And its heroin not heroine !
