can't login to apple(itunes) fatal internal error

Same here, it's not recognizing my username / password. For both my US & non-US accounts. I tried to buy Broken Sword The Smoking Mirror: Remastered, but no luck.

 

Damn. I thought it was just me. I can log into my aol e-mail just fine but I can't log into iTunes on my phone or Mac...

 

Apple ID's not authenticating?

Either Apple's servers are screwy or someone's hacked into my account... meh. Anyone else running into authentication issues?

I'd forget it for a few hours Apples servers are terrible and do stuff like that from time to time although from looking at twitter this could be quite a big problem.

 

Yes!!!! I cannot buy Broken Sword because my Apple ID couldn't be found or my password is incorrect, which both are not true!

 

Wow. This has taken down everything Apple.

Apple online store? Dead.

Developer portal? Dead.

iCloud? Dead.

iPhoto if you were stupid enough to link it to iCloud? Dead. Blank photos on a recent import!

iOS app updates and anything involving talking to Apple's servers? Dead.

And it's worldwide. Reports coming in from Kuwait, Belgium, USA, Spain, France, Germany, England, etc.

Good job load testing iTunes Match prior to worldwide release there, Apple.

Now, having at one time worked in the private sector building web servers for various companies and firms I know how much it can cost every SECOND an online ecommerce site is down. This literally is costing them millions every hour it's down not only in lost revenue but in the massive amount of support calls/emails they must be getting because they're not saying anything about it.

i figured as much tho when the apple site was not working either. its funny all the crap works, but nothing having to do with the apple id's seems to be working

Lol, that's when it happened to me too and I had to stay up until 2am to make sure my account wasn't compromised. Hope it wasn't anonymous...

Problem just got resolved for me.

Bought Space Tripper for 0.99 and the transaction finally went through... proper authentication and all.

 

Yup, same error here, tried with three (two non-US, one US) accounts.

 

Yup, working now, that was fast!
