I purchased my ipad back in June and was curious to see how much money I spent on games since then. 99. here, $1.99 there doesn't seem like much but over time it adds up. So I checked my history and to date I spent $439.42. Anyone else care to share how much their spending? This number did jump quite a bit in the last week with the ridiculous amount of price drops and releases.
This year was an enormous jump for me from 2009. I've $743.67 out of the total $1126.98 in 2010. I got my first iPod in January 2009. How did I get these numbers? I went through the long ass purchase history and added it all up with my calculator.
$85.05 About $7 a month for the year 2010. Although It will be over $100 when I get iWork and several other iPad games soon exactly $144.98 unless there will be price drops.
Last I checked (which was in July), I rang up a sickening amount of over $2200 That's when I stopped buying iTunes cards...
I'd guess between £100 and £200 which is quite a lot thinking about it but I've got apps to do practicly every task you can think of now and enough games to last months still to play. Plus it's probably better than spending my money on cigs like I used to.
There's some big numbers out there guys, and I thought I was bad!! As at 16 December my total spend was a whisker over £440 ($750). And that's without Asphalt 6, Secret of Mana or Infinity Blade IAP's! Soon adds up huh?!
I've gave my account a quick check, and I've racked up about 120USD odd in game / app purchases within 3 months of having my iPad, that's about.. 40usd a month? those occasional 99cents here and there and the sudden splurge of purchasing a day-one release app does hurt my wallet, but, the amount of fun I got out of it ? Priceless.
I've only had my iPod for 2 months and I've spent $42.96 on games. However I've purchased all of my iTunes gift cards on sale so I've only spent just over $30 of my own money. It's a bit overwhelming at the moment with all the new releases, sales and free games
I make it a habit that when I purchase a game, I wouldn't mind the price as long as it's worth the time to play.. But most games I purchased aren't worth my time.. Spent around $120 in 2 months for the junk apps.. Owning an iPad made me apply for a credit card... -_-
The equivalent of $175. I've never wanted to calculate the figure because I knew it would be crazy. I don't mind it however as I've been on the app store for nearly 3 years now so it's not that much to be honest. The thing that gets me is that I regret a lot of my purchases as they were a complete waste of money. It's not an issue any longer though as I'm now extremely pickey
Between $300-$400 bucks since April this year. Considering i spent well in the thousands on 360 games and a couple hundred on mmorpg subscriptions that isn't that bad. I have so many games now that I'm gonna spent the rest of next year just enjoying what I have. Other than a couple square enix games and whatever Cave releases I think I'm done. I'm kinda getting tirednof buying all these gameloft clones, "endless" games and retro ports.
this topic has bring all the bad memories .. enough to say that I had a fight with my wife when she saw my credit card bill .. btw 1 Dollar is equivalance to average $3.5 in my currency .. and I think I've spent thousandsdollar for apps and games ..
I bought the Ipad in May and have averaged about $30.00 a month. But that bought me about 150 games and i picked up another 300 games for free. Or that could have bought me 4 - 5 games for the ps3 or XBOX360.
I love the value of IOS gaming. For the price of one psp or Ds game I van get 15+ iOS games. Those 1-2 dollar purchases may add up but it's nothing compared to what I would spend if I was exclusively playing other consoles.
Totally true.. I only purchased less than 10 titles on my PS2 before and I already spent an equivalent of around 500usd.. The only difference is that the games on consoles has alot of replay value and very long hours of gameplay *cough*final fantasy*cough*.. Took me a year and a half before I decided on giving away my console and games.. With iOS gaming, finding a good game means finding a needle in a haystack.. But as usual, there are games that makes the effort and money worthwhile..
